These tall bellflowers grow all over the lot . . . wild, I don't have a thing to do with it.

The past few years, I've been growing them in this old barrel . . . but what's this? This tall spindly thing coming up from it?

Hope you can see it ok - Jeff took a bunch of pictures out there this morning - I never thought to tell him to do this in particular.

I do have some cosmos in that pot - but that's not the same leaf as cosmo.

I also have a piece of it growing at the side of my 'tree cluster'. I'll take a picture of it next time I'm armed with the Panasonic.

That barrel, btw, nearly met its end the other night - a whole slat fell off it and the ring that holds it together fell down.

Jeff got some stir sticks (the kind the paint store give out) and pushed them in between the wood and the metal ring (rusty).

Guess the old barrel's got another year in it.

(I will NOT part with it!)
