Ok this guy made me realize last Thursday (5/6) that I had not put up my Hummingbird feeders---he was flying around my hook looking for the feeder. So sorry but the photo is not the best as I took it through my glass sliding doors that have that reflective film on them. Cute..i need to wash and set mine up..Hummingbirds usually land here the middle of May.

That's a male Downy Woodpecker. Downy Woodpeckers as well as many other birds have a big sweet tooth...errm...bill......Birds don't have teeth. Anyways, Downys in particular often raid Hummer feeders and have been documented punching holes in the base of the tubular blossoms of the trumpet creepers to drink the sweet, sweet, nectar inside.

finally day before yesterday I saw a female downy--at least I guess it was a female...it looked like the male without any red on it at all.

Wow...I never saw a woodpecker at my hummingbird feeders...but I have seen bats on them at night.
