Please tell me what could be eating my hostas. They are the only plants in my flower bed that are being attacked.

I've saved up my mysteriously half full cans of beer I find the next morning and pour the stale beer in a shallow lid and set them aside the plants. The slugs go for a drink and never get out.

spread sawdust or used coffee grounds around them ...it irritates the slugs skin .....
