I dunno about y'all, but around this house, sunglasses are a big deal.
So... this
spring I sent my attendant to a store to purchase a special pair of sunglasses for me that she had seen. When she brought them home, I was delighted! The
perfect pair for Summer '10.
Then, one day not long after, my new girl was cleaning up and misplaced my sunglasses. I didn't realize that until after she had left permanently and so couldn't ask her about them.
So, I set my two newest new girls onto the task of finding them. First, though, I had to explain...
These wowza double great 2010 sunglasses came in an unusual case which the first new girl may not have recognized as a sunglass case.... she may have thought it was a toy or an electronic device of some sort!

Newest New Girl #1 didn't quite believe me and looked in all the logical places a missing pair of sunglasses might be hiding. I kept saying "look in Maxi's gear, that's where they probably are!" But this practical lady wasn't going to hunt in toy boxes for sunglasses -- for surely even a Temporary New Girl wouldn't have put them there, right?
But my Newest New Girl #2 took my word for it and searched high and low in even unlikely places for sunglasses to be hanging out.
I had told them both that the case is Silver and so she picked up every single silver or silver-ish item in this house! Hours later, she reluctantly admitted defeat and wondered aloud if perhaps someone had taken them?
Me, I was still convinced they were somewhere buried among all Maxi's odds & ends of toys.
So, Newest New Girl #2 despondently goes to the front door to leave and squats down to adjust her shoes. From that low angle, she glanced up toward the top bin of a tall stack of bins of Maxi's gear and sees silver shining through the clear plastic side.
"Silver!" she cried out, and ran and stood on tippy toe and reached in and found....
