I have small, annoying bugs flying around my garden. They seem to be eating the leaves. I was told that planting Merigolds would keep them away and I have tried a soap solution. Both times I watched them fly up and land on the plants (including the Merigolds). They are fearless!! What can I do?

These are annoying. I am not sure of your exact pest. But they do sell sticky traps which do help. They come in attractive colors to attract different breeds though. And they do help.

Do keep in mind that some bugs that land on your plants are eating even smaller bugs on your plants-- it's the smaller ones that do the damage. Food chain & all that.
A good, healthy garden had LOTS of "bugs" in it. If you could do a little more investigating and provide some more detail about the annoying bugs, maybe we can come up with something to help your plants. And what sort of plants?
