I was thinking of putting some corn in after I harvest some of my early crops. Will it do ok in the mid to late summer. Traditionally corn is an early crop here in MI

Not sure about MI, but I planted corn about three weeks ago here in Florida Panhandle and it grew to about a foot and a half! Sad story actually, some kind of mean vindictive critter chewed almost every stalk! Didn't eat it mind you. Nope! Just chomped it off about an inch above the ground and left the stalks laying there for me to find tears

But I would go for it anyway. I started mine from seeds (super cheap) so there's really no love lost when they didn't work out. This year is all about learning for me. So far I've learned that I'm not the only one around here who's a fan of corn! Oh well. I'll try again.

Ouch that stinks!! Thats what I told a friend "I'm not betting the farm on a $1.99 pack of seeds"

I figured the Indians/Aztecs planted corn whenever they wanted to so why can't I. Its a free Country as my kids say

Your right! That makes me want to replant my corn. Maybe I will. I'd just have to put a frame around it with bird netting. Had to do that with the rest of my garden anyway. The corn seedlings were doing so well too. Hmmm
