Hi, I live in Tampa FL. I started some tomato plants about 6 weeks ago and the plant is doing fine and getting very large. However, when the plant flowers, the flowers are not turning into tomatoes; they are just wilting and dying. Why is this happening? I have grown tomatoes several times before and never had this issue before. Does anyone know?

It's called blossom drop...usually due to temperature or plant stress.

yes, temp and humidity, stress...
any blossoms that are successfully pollinated rarely drop. You may have fruitset on future blossoms given a drop in temp or humidity levels. Are you growing the same variety(s) as before? Some are more heat resistant.

I'm having the same problem. My tomato plant has many flowers but so far they have all wilted and died with no tomatoes. The plant is healthy though so I'm hopeful it will decide to set some fruit. I'm not giving up!!! It has been super hot here though. Not much I can do about that. why Good luck!
