I found this species of plant and then used them for some color and character in my trellis for my pumpkins. I would love to use them in other areas of my property. Just curious if anyone knows what species they are. I would like to grow them from younger shoots or seed or perhaps transplant some. The stalks are grey when young but turn reddish-brown eventually (assuming I have the right order and not reddish-brown, then grey). Most of the stalks in the thicket above are light grey in color. But if you look at the trellis, I show reddish-brown ones there and it is unmistakably the structure of bamboo. I used fairly high resolution pics to make it easier to see. Any help appreciated.

Thank you.

I really cannot tell you what kind they are. I would be ver hesitant to transplant onto my property though. Some bamboo types are runners and will mall huge, impenetrable thickets. At least do find out the breed of plant before doing that so you can look up their habits. Try a local Ag school or extension office?
