Well the air raid sirens were going off the wind was howling like a freight tarin and rain was pouring down. It was tornado weather - worst thing that happened was some potato plants got knocked over and I lost 3 hours sleep

I hate to reply to my own post - BUT I was wondering about staking the potatoes back up - Should I just leave knocked over them or risk spearing some taters and prop them back up?

Kind of lost..why are your potatoes staked?

Because of the high winds pushed them over - there was a tornado spotted within 5 miles of my house. 60 MPH winds headed here right now.

I watched both of them come in off the lake on radar and thought of you over there .
By the time they reached me they were just some nice soaking thunder storms.

It takes about 4hrs for the fronts to hit me from off the lake and most of the time they die out some by the time they get here.

Sure would love it there in the winter though
