Morning Tina..whew it's hot out there.

back from my breakfast meeting, and quilt is underway.
As long as it is done by christmas it will all be good.
Christopher will be home just before Christmas, so Emily wanted it done before he is home. Possibly it will be her gift to him for the holidays. I really do not know.

On to the next errand.....

PS: Tamara---it is hot here too near 90 already.

Hi Carol..what kind of quilt is she making? Rag or patterned?

In the mid 90's here now--& climbing.
the quilt is a T-shirt/cotton shirt quilt.

it is all the shirts from my SIL's service career. beginning when he was in the reserves in high school up to the present day. 16 of them in all.

emily had heard aobut it so she researched it online. so then she wanted me to do i t. well, I have never done a t-shirt quilt before & I was not going to ruin his shirts and make a mess of the quilt. luckily for me my friend had jhust told me that she had just made on for her granddaughter--so I "hired her"--

I remember you mentioning it before...cause I remember telling you t-shirt material is a pain to sew without a good sewing machine. Hoping it doesn't cost you much $.

So whats up for this evening?

well if i t does cost a lot, it will get to pay for it in piece meal.
I will buy all of the materials except the weave backing for the shirts. that cost she will add to the price of making it.

I have that wake to go to tonight...

yep & the funeral tomorrow at 11.

I am now going to go take a shower. Rod will be home in 45 minutes and he will want the shower ASAP, so he can cool down.

Good morning all, an inside day for me today. It rained all night and is calling for rain all day again.

Good morning. It is to be warm and sunny today. I have a few things to do out in the wide, warm world today.

Hows everything?

Every thing here is good. Busy with my friend staying over. That is cool stuff. She and my daughter have really hit it off with a lot of common interests, music and movie stars. So entertainment is happening even when I am not entertaining. I am keeping the food prep simple and that helps.

Great, I was wondering if your friend made it there..have lots of fun.

What a long day, the rain is so heavy you can't see...then I get an emergency call to go pick up Zach(the boy I used to day care for)at school, his mom has taken ill and is in hospital and his babysitter couldn't be reached. I hate driving in bad weather.....

I hope you made it there and back safely,Tamara. I will also not drive in very foul weather except in an emergency. And I hope Zach's mom is OK.

Ya I'm here. I guess I have to keep him for the night..

No word yet on his Mom.

My funeral went well, ...well as well as a funeral can go.
It must have taken more out of me that I realized. I slept for over 2 hours this afternoon when I got home. I am told ceramics will continue this next tuesday. I can only assume they are wanting the one son, Jerry Dale, to be kept busy.
