After three days of torrential rains, my Cucumber plant had a little slug on it this morning. The slug is now a goner, but what can I do to prevent his friends from following in his slimy footsteps? I don't want to use chemicals. My cuke plant has reached the tip top of it's tomato cage and is currently slam full of flowers so I really don't want any slugs to get a jump on my soon to be veggies! I'm glad I let it climb! It would be a pain to treat this issue if it were laying on the soggy ground!

Did you snowfarmers post under Pests??

I put one cuke in a cage last night - the other was too advanced so I left it on the ground. So I have nice experiment going.

If not I - Then who?

Oh blush For some reason I was thinking his "enemy" was some type of worm. Don't know how I missed that one. OK so coffee grounds are in my future as well! And cornmeal! Thanks WB for catching that. kissie
