The Mrs and I went up to her parents place for a night . It was the father-in-laws 70th B -day.
So 3 hrs on the road to northern mi to Traverse city( the pinky area of the lower)
I just love it when I start to see wild ferns growing along side the road

We all went for a little ride sight seeing around the bay before dinner, stopped at a old fish town and charter port...really neat.
One wk before the famous cherry festival and the city was hopping setting up things, Blue angels flew in too.
The next morning we left for home but took the back way rather than backtracking via e-ways. Drove 2 lane road for 5hrs, rolling hills of northern farm lands and towns .... even went snowmobiling lol Well we went down a trail....with our Grand prix .
We didn't go to far ...ferns were as high as the windows but was on a trail.. hehe , saw some buffalo, turkeys and other wild life during the trip too .
Had a nice trip and it was good to get away
