I have to dig up my cannas in the fall; I started cannas from seed this winter and they are getting quite big for the cups they are in - looking good! I would like to put these in a pot for when they go outside, how big do you think a pot should be for dwarf cannas? I don't want to crowd them right?

you'd only get maybe 2 per pot in a qt pot.One year I stored some daylilly divisions on a nursery tray and set it under house.I been useing a large container for starting my canna seeds in.I cold GH the ones in it now and need to dig out and plant out.I've had one of the tall purple leafed with orange species flowers bloom recently& my seedlings I wintered over last year are popping back up and so are the seeds I sowed durring the winter.
I went back out and looked at the seedlings that overwintered I sowed in nov.you may be able to get 6 in a qt pot.I don't think it will form an eye till it blooms.the one that just bloomed is starting to form an eye.it don't look like a regular seed with roots.some of my WS seedlings have 4 leaves.

You can grow one in a 10" pot. That is the size of the nursery pots you get with trees. I think those are 10" I am not good with this inch thing. LOL

Do what you can where you are with what you have.
