The second one is nasturtium. Those leaves can be added to salads and give it a peppery bite.
I am not sure about the others.

Actually #3 may be calendula as well as #4. Are their leaves similar? There are so many forms. Also many in coreopsis too.

Most wild flower mixes I have gotten have had a list of flowers it had in it. I used that list to research what flowers were growing. This was pre-computer days for me so it was all books. I still don't know what everything that I see is. And some things I know what they are by looking but I will be darned if the name will come to the forefront of my mind.

Tina you are being such a big help--thank you so much. kissie
First let me say that I think # 6 may be Alyssum.

Then I went out & got my list of flowers that were in this wildflower mix.

I think it is just possible that not all of the mentioned flowers were in this package but put into the original mix, pre packaging time??
there was not but 1-2 TB of seed & filler in the pkg.

_here they are..._______________________________________________

Blue Flax--(this may be my #8 that I cannot get a clear picture of)
Scarlet Flax
Nasturtium--as you say
Annual baby's breath--I do have that, I recognised it
Four O'Clocks
Candytuft
Dwarf Blue Cornflower
Cosmos
California poppy
Corn Poppy
Catchfly
Sweet william
Evening primrose-- yikes
Lance leaved Coreopsis
Plains Coreopsis--this is my # 5
Siberian Wallflower
Black-Eyed Susan
Calendula

Those are some standard wildflowers. The evening primrose are pretty. If they didn't get so weedy looking and spread so readily, they wouldn't be a bad flower.

Sweet william acts as a biennial. It will form a little tuft of dark green leaves and usually stay like that the first year here. Then it shoots up the second year and gets lovely flower clusters.

once again, thanks so much.

and just a comment in passing--I love the evening primrose, I think it is gorgeous. I actually bought some & planted it a few years back. badday
WELL!! as soon as I began to see how readily it spread, I pulled it all out, and then kept pulling for the whole next year---I am not going for invasasive in this bed.
but as you say, it is sad.

Nice flowers, I like wild flower mixes...a lot of the seeds are biennial and perennial.
