yes. if you go to ebay.com and log in & then they should walk you thru the process. It used to be that yo could pay by monmey order (what I prefer) but nowe ebay's rules say pay pal only--

BUT I have found. if you message teh seller prior to bidding, they often let yo pay with a moeny order.

if you have any trouble let me know. I can walk you thru it.

You set up an account with paypal but you don't have to pay through paypal directly. When you set up paypal you can link your paypal account to your checking account so that when you make a purchase it is taken out of your account. You can also set it up to where you put a certain dollar amount into your paypal account, a bit easier to control your funds. I've never done either of these. I have a username and password with paypal and give them my credit card info to make the purchase. Paypal doesn't remember it and I have to re-enter my info every time. This makes me feel better than having it linked directly to my account. You just use paypal as a third party to transfer your money to the seller. I've bought many things off of ebay, just recently I bought a game for my little gameboy ds and only paid $11. There are items that you bid on and there are items that have a buy it now option which means that you pay the sellers price and there is no auction, therefore no waiting for the bidding to end. You just purchase the item like you would on other websites. The girls have purchased things through ebay as well so if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thank you, Cheryl ~

Your input on this topic inspired me w/ the confidence I needed to go register at eBay. My new computer came equipped with a start-up icon, but I've been reluctant to even explore it, being so unfamiliar.

Thanks again!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Merme--I have been buying things on E-bay for years....
also on the right side of the auction page is a list of things such as "ask seller a question"
if you click on this you can ask the seller many things- one option is "how to pay for this item" one clicks on that choice and then can asks if they may pay by money order or by check (which is an option as well for some sellers.)

Many sellers still will allow these methods of payment even if they say "pay pal only" but one must ask, and wait for a response from the seller, BEFORE bidding. there is a different check out procedure if you use those paying options.
