Finally got my lavender festival pictures uploaded. It was both a tiring and fun day. We had to wait in line for the ferry for over two hours then got stuck in traffic for another hour on the other side of the water. What should have been no more than an hour and a half trip took us almost 4 hours from the time we left my house. We were starving when we got there so we stopped to eat something before heading out to the farms. We only had enough time to tour two of the seven farms in the tour and had just enough time to see most of the street fair. We wish we would've gotten there earlier and had more time but we still had fun and bought lots of goodies. I got earrings and a matching necklace, a t-shirt, car freshener, lavender chapstick, and lavender room and body spray. The girls got lavender vanilla lotion and body spray and t-shirts as well. Didn't get pictures of our goodies but got some fun pictures of the farms and, of course, lavender. Hope you enjoy! Sequim lavender festival 2010

You got some good pictures. Thank you so much for sharing them. Next year you will be more prepared for that trip and the kinks in it.

Thanks for sharing the great pictures, Cheryl! That is such a beautiful part of the country and all that lavender must be so lovely up close and personal.

You can smell it as soon as you drive into town. There are over 20 lavender farms there and they say it's the lavender capital of north america. Maybe I could retire there someday. Don't know if Aros would be okay with that though. Imagine how relaxing it would be.

I used to have a small pillow stuffed w/ lavender and hops. It was a lovely little sleep aid.

I remember you going to this before and it's still one of the coolest things EVER. My grand childrens other grandmother is called Nana and I'm going to try and order her some Nana. Wouldn't that be way neat.

That would be way neat! Next year, when I actually have a garden again, I want to buy some and bring it home. Then I'll have nana living in my garden.
