I've been up all night working on my site. At around 4:30 AM, my computer decided to reboot for an update and shut itself off and back on! I was so scared that everything was lost! I called tech support & she told me how to get it all back. So I did & made a back up copy & published as fast as possible so as not to risk anything else happening.

Unfortunately, the host would not let me delete an extra page which I had planned to be "About Us". Now if someone clicks on that, they get the error message "page not found"! and that's really too bad.

I'm going to sleep well during dialysis today, I know that for certain.

Good morning all, pouring rain here....

I am having trouble getting used to this lap top..I keep shutting down my pages The buttons are so close together...and the cat keeps jumping for my fingers and on the keyboard.

DD's boyfriend has the day off and they have errands and groceries to attend to later..so I'll get a chance to get back on here in the afternoon.

More work to be done in the babies room today, I bought a curtain rod and baskets yesterday and a canvas picture(only $9 at walmart)...I also found a large applique tree about 4 ft by 5 ft high. It's black but I'll add some colored leaves and cut out some owls. I bought a pack of thick scrap book paper for that. they don't have much here either for the theme DD picked...so I'll be doing lots of cutting and pasting

So it'll be another busy day..also still lots of cleaning to be done..how such a messy, lazy kid came off of me..I'll never understand. I think she does it just to spite me

I have a hard time using a laptop also, Tam... for the very reasons you mentioned plus I don't like the mouse being a ball. Maxi is really quick with that thing but it slows me down so.

Staying up all night is good for the soul.

I loaded the dishwasher & turned it on while singing my version of Red Foley's "Peace In The Valley"

I put a pork roast rolled i n garlic powder, salt & pepper.
On the side I put peeled yukon potaotes. after a bit I will add fingerling carrots. Once again 1 pot cooking---

Hello all... been up for a while- had my coffee and raisen bran... being so good.... got to get back to losing weight...

I finally straightened up my bedroom.. now to strip beds and wash that stuff... got rest of laundry going already.. have to go register little boys today... as soon as Carrie wakes up.. she worked all night doing sale tags at store... got off at 6 am, sure she must be exhausted now.. Joe is working the weekend as overtime... will help pay the vacation costs... we went a little over board there.. but boys will have good memories for sure...LOL!

I am going grocery shopping sometime today too- it's senior Wed... sale ad and I get an extra 10% off for being a senior... can't beat that and have 2 $10. off order coupons.... love saving money.

Tamara your dd is like mine- neither one is a good housekeeper by my standards... but they are good Moms so guess it's all okay... I just try not to comment on stuff..My son however is a clean freak like me and taught his wife how to clean ....LOL!
Well off to get showered - do more laundry... and whatever else till Carrie is awake....

Hi everyone. Got to bed a little late last night and I'm sleepy today. So far I'm having a really boring day at work. At some point I'll go into my stock room and clean it so it's ready for tomorrows delivery. I sure could use a nap, maybe I'll be able to get an office power nap a little later. I'm making BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, and corn on the cob for dinner tonight. I'll eat the beans and corn, yummy stuff. I'll check back in later.

I took Ted to school today and came home and raked. Made big piles to be moved to the green waste dump. Then I washed my car and shopped for a couple of items before picking Ted up from school, a little earlier than usual. That means I get a nice nap before figuring out dinner. I think I will take one of my meatloaves out of the freezer for tomorrow and the next day or so. I just have to remember to do it.

hat a good diea, Tina---I should cook meals & put them in the freezer. I do brown ground beef and freeze it into meal sized portions, so I can quickly make dishes that need it.
but I do not recall cooking/freezing whole meals. sounds like a good idea.

I have had to make myself clean today--I have no idea why--but oh well a lot is done--so that is good.
Tomorrow afternoon I will need to run som errands & do some final shopping so I have things on hand for Rod's nephew & family for breakfast on Saturday morning. I will be busy on friday so I want to get that out of the way tomorrow.

It is so hot again today.--- 100 right now---
the noon news said the heat index was going to be between 105 & 115.

I hope we do get the forcast thunderstorms. I really do not want to go out & water tonight, but I may have to--

Carol freezing whole meals is a great way to save time and money! And, that means you can get a good meal of something you like without much effort on the day.

I'm home from dialysis & I'm in sorta rough shape. So, I'm having my coffee and plan to go lay down.

It's humid out here. Took a walk to the local fabric store, everything is half price today, wow the damage I could do in there if I had money Bought material and trim for the lampshade for the baby's lamp. Oh well, can't have everything.

I don't cook much in the summer months. But I cook for those months in the spring. When I have done meat loaves I fill my oven with several and meatballs too. Then I have them frozen for quick meals. Last time it was just 10 pounds of meatloaf.
What I have to learn to do is to cook less still. Ted and Jonni don't eat much. So mostly now when I am cooking it is just for me. I will tell you that 10 pounds of meatloaf goes a long, long way. My own tastes are changing as I age. I am eating much less meat. And a lot more grains and vegetables. But I do love having lots of quick options in my freezer. I have in there, completely cooked, sausages, bacon, and a couple different types of beef and chicken. Plus fruit and veggies. If I cannot get to a store for a couple of months, I'm good. Money is really tight right now due to a couple of large yearly bills, auto insurance and memberships. So I am trying to shop less and eat more out of my past cooking sprees. Life is good.

Hi Tam ~ glad you found some fabric you liked for the lamp. The room should be adorable. I hope she is feeling okay so late in the process?

Oh we love cooking ahead. I learned to do that when I was young & newly married. My sister in law was a very dedicated businesswoman w/ no children & no time to cook nice meals. But she'd get tired of eating out or coming home and "making do". So we'd cook elaborate meals -- such as a full Thanksgiving dinner -- and freeze them for individual servings for her. She loved that! She could come home late, throw a full meal in the oven and have real food and not something yucccky. I do it now to take advantage of sales & so that I eat better quality.

I have dinner on the stove now.

Maxi will be home Friday. YAY!

I guess I should begin to try to cook ahead more than I do.

Tamara---so glad that yo found the material for the baby lamp shade---you are a gtood grandma already--imagine all the fun yoi will have when teh baby actually gets here----not many days left now are there???

Lobster is down below 1/2 price as it always is in August at the lobster pounds. The grocery stores still have it marked up as do the restaurants. But I am going to get a bunch this weekend and shell it and freeze it in reasonable recipe portions. We will love having it later on! To buy already picked lobster frozen it is usually about $19.95 a pound. Lobster in the shell is going for $8.99 a pound in the stores. But right now fresh lobster is about $3/1 lbs. at the fish markets and pounds. I can't ignore it at that price!!! YUMMY!

I could make chowder. I could make etouffe. I could make lobster rolls (a type of sandwich).

Gee, I am making myself hungry!

Good morning..raining again. Not sleeping well here..I have just been taking the sofa cushion in the bedroom to sleep on, I need to go for a twin airbed..Walmart had none when I went.

DD is due in 4 days..her close friend from high school is in labor as I speak but she lives up in my area. A lot of babies being born here in these few months..wondering if their was a bad batch of birth control pills that went out

Baby's room is coming along..so much stuff to sort and pack. Tomorrow I will get a few more things to finish up. Need to hit the dollar store when DD goes for her doctors appointment in the morning. Sad thing is DD never did a thing to help..you'd think she'd be excited and want to be a part of it all, guess it's just her lazy nature..scared I might ask her to fold clothes or something

Not sure what's all planned for today. I know DD and her bf plan to go grocery shopping...they asked me to go but I might just stay home by myself. Going to the big mall with not much money to spend is torture

Glad to hear that the baby's room is coming along. Perhaps your DD is jsut scared about child birth or perhaps she just does not want to rain on your parade so to speak. With you gone back home0---she will have plenty of time to "do" for the baby, & she is going to rest while she can. Could be she is thinking of it that way as well.

I know my oldest has made several commnets on how childbirh "hurts" and how would she know---so I think young gitls talk & say who knows what to each other.

Today I will finish up here at home & then go run errands this afternoon.

Good morning! Aros keeps kicking me in his sleep, is his subconscious trying to tell me to get up? I'm up, just being lazy and still in my bed. I suppose I should get up and get some started. Got a busy day at work today, then I'm going for a run, then I'm making meatloaf tonight for the family and salmon for me.

That is what I am having for dinner, meatloaf. I do not eat much fish. I keep telling myself I should begin but I have to be in the mood. I hope you have a wonderful day, Cheryl.
