I hawked it up and put it in some strained leaf mulch soil. It looked kinda' miserable there, outside my window, but I watched the thing.

Yesterday, I picked all the dead leaves off it and here it is!

I'm seeing all the wild phlox out on the roads these past few days. Wild phlox often grows up out of the retaining wall - so maybe this is it.

I just love to have a good weed to study . . . ha ha!

I let it grow on the seat of the table garden all summer - it turned out to be a phlox. For what I thought was a wild weed, it sure gave some pretty blue flowers.

I'm going to put it in the ground and let it come up in spring again.
