I am getting tired again.
I think since no one is "home" right now---I will go put my wash in the dryer & then see if I can go back to sleep for a bit.
If that does not work out, I'll be back in. shewinks

Good Morning,
I got up with Joe this morning- got my pressure cooker out yesterday- decided I am going to start using it more often... got a roast to put in it today- will be dinner tonight and shred the rest for tacos and burritos later... need to run my oven cleaner too... we cook so much fish in the oven that spatters it needs to run once a month or so lately-it's cool today so good time to do it...
I got my living room all deep cleaned yesterday... moved all the furniture, dusted and polished... vacummed all the corners... and dusted the walls too... have cathedral ceilings so that takes a bit of manuvering for short me...LOL!
Today it will be family room deep cleaning... and hopefully getting Joe to put up new curtain rods for me... I think the cooler will be coming out of the window down there this coming week- it's feeling more like fall every day now, then it will be window washing time for the house.. before winter comes in and it's to cold to do it.
Well off to get my shower- gather laundry and towels , get that done today too .... boys this afternoon.....
Nana

Morning everyone! I've had my oatbran and my coffee and I'm just about ready to head out for my run. After I get back I have to go and get my allergy shots and then stop by the store so and get the rest of what I need to cook dinner tonight. Be back later!

I've had the sort of day bad dreams are made of. I don't have time to visit right now, but I wanted to at least say HI! I will be back later. I did catch up with you all, though.

I had a quiet day. No stressing or straining. I mostly took things easy. Got my son to and from school. And hid from the heat. I got a decent nap in.

Good morning, everybody!

The coffee is brewing. Corned beef hash is crisping up on the stove. There will soon be eggs and toast to go with. Around here somewhere, I am sure, are some Dunkin Munchkins. So have at it! lol

We're still getting the side effects of Earl as it passed by to our East. Winds roared through at 80 mph and I heard someone say we got 4 inches of rain last night. They said the winds are supposed to remain high and gusty all day.... our skies are certainly grey! The truly great thing is, the passing storm broke our heat wave! YAY!

This weekend we are working on the final details for Maxi and school, the last touches to his dress code & he must finish the history & english classes projects.

Yesterday we got his books.... a whopping $340 .... he got Algebra I, Intro to Physical science, World History, Elements of literature, three handbooks about grammer, punctuation & sentence structure, a Catholic study bible, Understanding Catholic Christianity and three novels.... Catcher In The Rye, Lord of the Flies, and Of Mice & Men. So that's a good start.

I'm wondering what Cheryl's girls got started with?

Good morning !!! Coffee & food---yep--I'm there Merme.
Just as a reference my yougest graduated H/S in 2004--- We were paying $340.00 a year for registration/books while she was in H/S. & she didnt get to keep them either.

That does sound like a good start though. As Maxi gets older be sure to look at AP courses. Physics & such are much easier taken in H/S that college if you can manage it.

Will he be taking other religion courses?/
I ask because while Metro-East was a Lutheran H/S in Senior religion, my girls were taught what all other religions believed.

Today I am apparently going to be grand-puppy sitting again.

Wish I had the social life my DD has.......

Hi Carol ~ you are too too nice with all that puppy sitting you do! kissie

Cheverus is a Catholic college prep school offering a Jesuit education. (Jesuits are the order of priests who have focussed all their efforts on education for about a zillion years & have the best schools & universities. They were founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola). So, all the students must take theology every year to get very familiar with Catholicism. But they also must learn all the other faith traditions as well.

The sun is finally out! YAY!

I knew that, and my girls took Religion courses evry year also.
They were required along with all the other academics.
I was jsut pleased to see that the religion teacher also made sure that his kids were aware of what all the other religions were & what they believed. Which is helping my oldest immeasurably right now as the boy she is dating is a devout Catholic.

oops I am remiss--
Good Luck to Maxi !!!
