Good morning, I'm late getting in..had to put the neighbors kids on the bus. Coffee sounds good, I'm having chocolate chip cookies for breakfast today...which is good because it's the first sweet breakfast this week. (although it's a hard habit to break ) I need to take DD to town today but alas the rental vehicle is a single bench seat truck and I can't put the rear facing car seat in it...and there is no one around today that I trust enough to leave the baby with. I am hoping they call today that my truck is ready...I have no choice but to get to town to file those papers by tomorrow. So just some housework and laundry today...

Hopefully the timing of getting your truck & getting the paperwork filed will all work out okay, Tam. Gee, sometimes life can resemble a stupid roller coaster ride one never meant to get on! The only thing to do is ride it to the end even if it makes you scream. Lots of ups & downs and mad dashes. Yikes. I got the dishwasher loaded & started. My new girl hasn't been able to do it right since she's been here & I do not understand what the problem is. You rinse the dishes. You put them in so lots fits in. You add the soap tab. You shut the door & turn it on. What is so tough about that?! Every time she does it, she says she rinses the dishes but they are not rinsed. And she usually runs it less than 1/2 full. So I end up doing it all over again. So, now I do it myself although it is a difficult task from my seated position. I dont think this girl will stay long. She moans every day about not getting enough hours in a week; about the pay rate; about not liking to work with sick adults. Well. Not much I can say about those things!

She certainly picked the wrong line of work then hasn't she? Things never seem to go easy here, if it ever did there'd be something wrong. Fingers crossed I can line up a babysitter this afternoon.

I have just gotten up a bit ago. I think if I had not of kinked myself in a bad position, I would have still been sleeping. I see I missed most everyone. but hey, perhaps I will see ya all later today. Hopefully Tamara gets to go out & get her business done today. That can sure be frustrating. For now I guess I will go and drink some coffee. because I need it. bad.

Stuck at home today....even if I could have got a babysitter, I just realized I forgot my driver's license in the other truck at the dealership. To top it all off, the dealership is a 90 minute drive away Trying to get a hold of DH, he'll have to take DD tomorrow afternoon if we don't get our truck back this evening. Oh well, it's out of my control now. The wind has changed outside, it's freezing today...43*

Our temperature has climbed to 54 degrees here on the coast. It is a pretty day.
I just had a visit from a friend which was very nice. For my birthday, she gifted me with items to make Native American sacred smoke -- similar to the incense used in church -- to make the house nice. She is Native American herself, & was able to show me the little ceremony to go with.
We are going to start getting together more regularly & do our Christmas crafts once I start feeling better. I have a hat to crochet that is high on my priority list.
Sorry plans for today went awry, Tam.

Morning everyone! Just about done with my cup of coffee then it's off to get some work done. I put my dinner in the crock pot this morning. Pork chops, cranberry sauce, and yams. I'm going to steam some broccoli to go with it. Aros and the kids are having breaded pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Later tonight I might go check out the evening lap swim at the pool. We'll see how I feel, might be too tired. Have a great day!

Your dinner sounds delicious and you are making me hungry. I have been out lopping lower branches off of trees and upper branches off of shrubs. Making huge piles of litter to take to the green waste dump. I am taking a break and I may just have some breakfast.

Hi everyone, I see we are all busy bees today.
Just got done rearranging the spare room so I could fit in all baby's things that she can't use right now(high chair, larger diapers..etc). Time for a coffee break. Anyone home??

gee seems I missed you all.
I am back from my errands but after I eat a bite of lunch (macaroni salad) I will need to get my pie in the oven.
Good news is, a Haas dealer was there (factory made cakes & such) he h ad a few boxes of goodies that need to be taken back to teh warehouse, so instead he gave them away to the grocery customers--I got an apple strudel--but as DH is expecting a home made pie for tonight, into the freezer it went---But that will make him happy some night this winter---

Things are good. There is a thing going on in my town that messes with traffic horribly. So I will be picking Ted up from school early in a few minutes and he won't go tomorrow at all. That way we miss most of the hullabaloo.

Oh I feel for you, Tam! I hate when I get a note about a package! I much prefer it when they bring the package! Today my friend unpacked all of Maxi's tie collection she had packed when working in his room this summer for our move, not realizing he'd need them for school, or how long we'd be delayed moving. He has 9 ties, most are pretty handsome but some will need replaced a little at a time. I hope to get him the striped purple & gold school tie for his birthday next month. He already has the solid purple w/ the logos on it. So now they are all pressed & tied with the appropriate knot for width & texture & all he has to do is slip it on over his head. That makes for an easy morning until he learns how better himself. I'm so hungry today, I am thinking of starting dinner a little early!

Hi all, I will try again to post- the great internet ate the last one I tried... I have Nicoli today- he is having trouble adjusting to all day school- just plain refused to go this morning- yesterday he cried and was fine in 5 min- talked to his teacher- this morning Carrie wasn't dressed so couldn't force him to get out of car.. tomorrow I am taking them... he has to go and this has to stop... he knows he can't cry and fool me... or refuse cause I won't stand for it... I a mean Nana when I have to be... he did school work here this morning.. we have lots of workbooks... he isn't allowed to play when his bros get here either... so hopefully he will decide going to school is more fun than being home with me... I got my kitchen floor clean- even moved out the fridge... also cleaned the living room windows... got one more to do- it's a lot of work for me - so short I have to stand on a ladder and go up and down a lot.. glad I don't have to go outside to do it - I would need a really big ladder... It's really warm and dry for us here- 80's today and not much humidity.. almost to warm in the day time for just fans but we took the cooler out last week... cool in the evenings though so that is really nice sleeping weather... I like fall too the best... leaves are starting to change here in the mountains.. Well got to go finish up last window .. put kitchen back together-- boys will be here soon- need to make up a snack for them too... they are always starving when they get here... Nana

I hope it all works out just fine, Tam. I go through hassles w/ arranging rides all the time & I wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even for a day or so. Dinner was good & now it is Homework zone. I'm thinking of taking a cup of tea to my room & reading something.

Good evening, had a super busy day at work today. Came home and went to get started on dinner right away but the dishwasher didn't get run last night. Didn't have time to run it and the kid that was responsible was working on homework. I needed to keep going, any delay would make it really hard to get up and get going again so I had a little freak out. Aros ended up ordering dinner and the dishwasher is now clean. I'm so beat today, no energy for swimming at all. That's okay because I really don't like my suit very much so I may go looking for a new one tomorrow. I get to play with my new running toy tomorrow, which is very exciting! For tonight though, I think a hot bath and good book is just what the doctor ordered. Have a good night!

glad your day went well at work, Cheryl but sorry for the at home thing. ya know Kids will do that----and so your best bet would to know it is going to happen and then to have repercussons for if/when they do already in place. Then you would have a plan of action in place--which may help with your well being. If I had a nickel for ever time my girls "forgot" to do something I would be not have to worry about retirement. and my gilrs were good girls, it is jsut that teens run on thier own priorities, and sometimes they truely do forget. I am thinking that as time goes n & the kids settle in more their chores will be come part of their subconcious & there wil be less of these occurances. Have I ever told yoiu of the rule my BIL & SIL had?/ they had 3 kids & my SIL worked full time. So each person was responsible for fixing a meal 1 night a weekday. Now the youngest was 10 when this began & so obviously she could not be in the kitchen by herself. So either somebody helped her with that or if she fixed them peanut butter & jelly & raw veggies then that was supper. I was never told what they did on the weekends... but that might be a thought. Ya know teens could put food in a crock pot as easily as a grown-up. my nephew & 2 nieces were big into sports & such so I have no idea how that was worked out but somehow it was. Going to go read a bit now & then go to sleep. Tomorrow I may not be in as I am going to a Drs appt with my sister. she does not wish to go alone.

Good morning, Everybody! We are a warmer 57 degrees this morning. Dunno why we came up, but I'm glad we did because I'm not really ready for the colder weather yet. I'm very glad it is Friday as this week has been tiring. And my girl gave her 2 week notice yesterday. I wasn't surprised.

But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Good morning. I have been up for an hour or so. I get to go back to bed, though. No alarms for me today.
