Good morning...it's the last week end of summer apparently, geez I thought summer left months ago

Still trying to figure out an arrangement for DD today..I might not have my truck back for another week.

The sun is trying to peek out but it's still freezing, brrr...

The alarm just went off. I need to begin to get ready to go to with my ssiter to her drs appt. It will be a nice day for us, we have not been together for a nice visit for a while now.

Lunch will be involved.

and yes youy are right--last weekend of summer here as well. Autumn begins the 23rd.

Today I have to sew the patch on Max's other blazer for school. It wouldn't be such a chore but I can't find my thimble. Many things have been packed for the move already & I guess that is one of them! It is difficult to drive a needle through the thickness of a patch w/out a thimble, but I used the side of a pencil for the first one. It worked.

We're getting rain today but it isn't supposed to amount to much. Fog tonight, though. I love when fog comes up from the beach.

It's been a seemingly very long day. I am glad we are home & dinner is cooking. Shepherd's Pie tonight; fast & easy and something Maxi will always eat.

We are taking it easy & relaxing tonight. Nothing strenuous or too rambunctious for us!

Anybody seen Dodge lately? Is she still having trouble logging in?

nope have not seen Dodge of late.

I had a nice time today, if you discount the drs visit my sister had. She got the news that she might have to have further surgery. We even fit in some shopping.
PLUS: I got to eat crab & drink a a strawberry dacquri for lunch.

Crab and daiquiri sounds like a good lunch. I'm hungry and have been snacking through my dinner.

It's been a slow day today. I've had noting much to do lately except some cleaning. I had a simple ham and cheese sandwich for lunch. I don't know what to make for dinner. I'll think up of something that's quick and easy.

I'm back and I am soon off to bed. I hope everyone had a good day.

Good evening everyone. I had a pretty good day today. I got the kids off to school then came home, made my breakfast, and started the laundry. Aros was home (his job wasn't working out) so I talked to him for a bit and then got ready to go running. I decided to try running part of the half marathon route than I'm running in November. There are some hills in that half marathon and I wanted to be able to practice and at the very least see what I was in for. My 6 mile run turned into a 7 mile run, partially on trails in the arboretum (I'll be going back there for sure!) and hills. I even did an extra hill just because it was steep and it was there. Came home, did more chores, then my friend stopped by to buy an entertainment book from the girls. After that I went to the girls swim meet and got some action shots. I'll be uploading those tomorrow. After their meet we all came home and I cooked dinner. After dinner the kids and I went back to the pool for the public swim. It wasn't crowded at all and I was able to make it somewhat of a workout and reacquaint myself with form and breathing. It was perfect because I was nervous about going to a lap swim and not being able to make it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sore tomorrow but it'll be a good sore. I worked my body hard today but it felt really good. Tomorrow is a lazy day for sure. Just have to finish the laundry and I'll probably read my book. It's starting to get good. Sounds like an excellent day, Cheryl. You are really working hard lately. It is positive 'me' time though. Much like my gardening is for me.
Now I am getting sleepy so I'm going to run with it and take me to bed.

I went to bed early tonight because I was exhausted. But I've been waking up every 1 1/2 hours with severe leg and foot cramps. I've done everything my docs have taught me to do to make them stop & hopefully this is the last time I'm up again tonight.

Cheryl I'm going to read your blog. Sorry to hear Aros job isn't working out well.

Good morning! I've got brewing if anyone wants any. I am sore today but it's not too bad. I don't mind it though, it tells me I pushed myself. Today is finish laundry and sit around day. Tomorrow my mom and I are going to see another Cirque du Soleil show! My mom says I have her hooked on those so hopefully that means more in my future.

Merme, sorry to hear about the pain. Hope it's better now.

Tina, you don't have too much work to get done do you? Hope you get a relax day too.

I really relaxed yesterday. I didn't get much done outside other than watering and hose and sprinkler repair. I spent time with my Teddy just cutting up and having fun.
I did go out and rake this morning. There is always something to do. I am doing Fall (and spring) cleanup that hasn't been done in a few years. And it makes me so happy to walk out my door and see what all has been done. It is a refreshing thing every time I go out. It was a nightmare to look at a year or more ago. Now I smile so much when I'm outside that I get grit in my teeth.
Life is good.

I think I'm going to pamper myself a bit today. Good smelling lotion and some nail polish should do the trick. My goal is to finish my book today as well. See you all later! Tina, so happy to hear that you've accomplished so much and you should be proud of all the work you've done. Life is good.
