Help! Ihave just recieved 3 Helleborus Niger Plug plants. Can I plant them directly or will I have to overwinter them in a cold frame. I live in South Yorkshire U.K.

Depending on the particular species, some Helleborus can withstand temperatures as low as -30* C. so you are probably safe planting yours in the garden... Give them a good mulching before it gets too cold though
