I was out of town for about a week, and came back to find these three mushrooms in my pot of Thyme & Oregano. Michigan thumb area, NW exposure and in front of a huge window.

What kind of mushrooms are these, and how do I get rid of them? I put the pot up on a bookshelf for the time being since I have a cat that will eat anything organic if the mood strikes. Will just pulling them out stop them? The herbs were sickly late-season purchases and aren't quite 100% healthy again yet, will this hinder them? (The thyme plant the mushrooms are next too was doing ok before but now seems to be a goner).

Also, this pot is between my two Pachiras. Should I be worried about the spores traveling to those pots too?

Thanks for any info you can give,

hmmmmmm.....I've never had mushrooms in a plant inside, so I can't help you on that subject.
But, I'm sure some of our members will be able to help.

Welcome to the forum!

All you need now is some tomato and you can make spaghetti sauce!

I often have those growing in some of my garden beds. I just yank them up. I don't think they will harm your herbs, but I would wash the herbs well before cooking with them. The pot being indoors might be why they aren't doing so great...herbs need a lot of sunlight that is usually difficult to give indoors. Since oregano and thyme are both hardy herbs, I suggest moving the pot outside, perhaps next to the door for easy access.
