So, the girlfriend and I where getting ready to head out on Friday for a date; we had the TV on and heard "ZzzzT, ZZZZAP, ZZZT" and where trying to figure out what was going on...
Walk into my office and look up at the TV, and it looked like a lightning storm was inside lol; you could hear electricity arcing inside of the tv set (the ZzzzT's), and pulses would hit the glass (the ZAP's); was the weirdest thing I've ever seen... Usually when a TV set of mine burns out it just won't turn on! lol

I hope the fix is an easy one.
It reminds me of time I called for help with an electrical problem in the fixture in my dining room. The guy came in and took off the duct tape I had on the light switch and flicked it. The light under the glass cover flickered and went out. He said, "It looks like you just need a new light bulb."
I said, "There are no light bulbs in that fixture".
Boy, was he in a hurry to turn off that light switch!

Mabe the girlfriend wanted a hot date? She was going to have one anyway ;)... Though the "fix" is buying a new TV... if I ever have enough money to do such a thing lol.
