My tube feeder empties about once a week this time of year. In Winter, it empties about THREE times a week. Of course, I have about TEN feeders in my yard. I buy 50 pound bags of Black Oil Sunflower seed at a time at Tractor Supply Company for $12.00 a bag before taxes.

I have a wild bird food feeder that I have to fill once a day--but I think that I may stop that one for the summer--thinking of taking it down & putting up my hummingbird feeder instead---With the exception of 1 or 2 pairs of cardinals I am just feeding the doves & the cowbirds now anyway--all my junco's are long gone. But I will keep the thistle feeder up---always do.
