Hi everybody ~

In for a second or two. I've read up on y'all but am too bone-weary to stay and visit.

I have been looking forward to Friday night for a while as these last few weeks have been very difficult -- many emotional things going on. And, in the fragile health state I am in right now, the slightest thing triggers the angina & breathlessness. I take a nitro & the pain eases. Will be glad to hear what the cardiologist says on the 14th.

Maxi has a friend staying overnight. I didn't really want the sleepover tonight as I haven't seen Maxi all week but the boys wanted it, so, and it allows me to get some rest while the boys entertain one another.

Tomorrow Maxi is going to a protest w/ some of his classmates at Target. I am SO proud of the kid! I've been trying to encourage the protest in his soul for years. YAY, Maxi!!

So dinner is over, the house is settled, Maxi poured me a rare treat of a Diet Coke (can't drink the colored soda's too often) and I'm very glad this ugly week is at an end.

See you all later; off to stretch out & watch some TV.

Going to sleep now-----
I would have gone earlier but dante` apparently ate something outside & then lost his supper---I did not see it until I was checking the doors & such before bed--(he evidently tried to get outside, but without apposable thumbs that was not possible.)

Raining outside now---nighty night everyone--sweet dreams wavy

Good morning. Outside of laundry, I haven't a clue what I will do with my day. But I'm sure some things will pop up that need attention. Cool and overcast and maybe rain so not a lot outdoors. Getting my stoves warmed up and need to bring in more wood.

Our tree is up! We're not sure where the bin of ornaments are, what with all the packing that's been going on. But I have a bad feeling it is the bin we sat the DVR & TV on....

Laundry is something else on my list as my girl "forgot" to do it yesterday. Sigh.

I went through a big harrange at dialysis. The director wanted to change my dialysis schedule to accommodate the Christmas & New Year schedule. For some reason, she insists on moving ALL 90 patients schedules rather than the ones who are affected. Makes no sense.

And in my case, my schedule affects not just Maxi but our girls as well. The way she wrote my schedule, my girl would lose 18 hours both weeks out of her pay! How could I possibly do that to anyone during the holidays?!

So I was quite adamant about it and detailed why such a sweeping change was a disaster for me & my household. At first she said too bad. Later she came back & told me my schedule would remain the same though everyone else's would change.

Good Morning--

You know Merme ya have to wonmder what makes some p eople tick sometimes. I would think while some schedulaes would have to be moved and thus making others have to adjust, I think that to move as fefw schedules as possible would be the best course to take. The less disruption the better ya know??? But glad that you are ok in all of this.
The lady I know that is on dialysis here just usually has her affected day moved to say a saturday or sunday of that week if the usual days are a holiday---then that is just 1 small change, plus no one has to be moved to accomodate that change, as rarely is there a dialysis scheduled for a weekend.---
so sorry for all of this.
PS I hope that you find your ornaments.

I was going to spend the afternoon today with what I thought were my sister & all of our daughters. well I find out this morning (from my cousin) that the "kids"--oldest 35 youngest 24--will be going to a craft fair, & that my sister is the designated baby sitter for her grand daughters.
so I think I will go deliver a book I had for my grand-nieces and then come home & attempt to put up my Chriatmas Tree. If I keep up putting off doing that it will the 24th and it will still be in boxes. rolz egad

if I get time, I'll be back later wavy

Be careful, Carol.
I am deep into laundry and stripping beds and things. I have gotten a lot of wood in and ready for a possible rainy day tomorrow and Monday.
I think next will be taking my stove top apart and deep cleaning. It isn't too bad but why wait until it gets another layer? I rarely ever fry anything any more. Not so much due to heath reasons as the dislike of the spatter and cleaning up involved. But my recent company did some frying and although she cleaned the 'top' of the stove that grease in invasive.

Well, my ornaments are NOT under the TV/DVR. I looked. yikes

It is a small bin, so now I am eye-ing all the small bins. Where Art Thou O Ornaments? lol

We bought a new tree this year & I think it is pretty ugly. It is as tall as we wanted but sorta sparse looking. Not enough branches. So I will go heavy on ornaments & maybe buy some garland or make popcorn strands to fill it in better.

Carol I hope you have some fun doing your tree. Will you share pictures later?

Merme:
About my tree I have nit had my big one up for years--so when I put it up in froint of the porch window it seemed to block the living room & Rod would definaltey not be able to watch TV from his chair--si we moved teh tree--so now that is well, except on my one set of lights, the red ones will not burn.--and yes I know one si supposed to check the lights before rthey put them up but we did not--besides with they type of lights one would have to try replacing each red bulb one by one to see which one really does not work.
So, my DH says well if yo want I will go and put the old fashioned bulbs on the tree---well I have some but they are not cool burnign like one needs for an artificial tree. So that is tomorrow's project--after we get back from mom's--she has some things of dad's to give out.
So, decorating will have to wait some.....

Tamara--I will be thinking of you--I hope that all of the moving preparations will go well. I will be thinking of you

If you find a way to hold off Christmas, please let m e know how to do that, I sure could use a few extra days as well

Tina, ya wanna come here & clean my stove??/ you would only have to do the top---the oven is self cleaning ---

Good morning everybody! I have plenty of coffee on if anyone would like some....

Maxi & I have apparently misplaced our ornaments. So we might have an old-fashioned tree w/ paper ornaments & popcorn strands! Good thing we have tons of glitter to liven up the paper shapes. lol

Good cold morning... 27* today and feels it... brrrrr...
I am on my second cup of tea... course I have been awake since 5:30 - no idea as to why was just awake... now I am watching Billy Elliot... good movie.
When movie is over I am going to bake some banana bread and muffins... and maybe some cookies too have some ready to bake in freezer , make good snacks for boys the next couple weeks...
Well off to warm up tea and get tree ready for Joe to hook up lights.. then when boys are here Mon after school we can decorate it.. need to do kitchen floor too... seems like lots of tiny rocks since they tarred the cracks in our local streets... we all bring them in it seems no matter how much we wipe our shoes on the mats...
Have a good Sun all!

Banana bread sounds good this cool morning, Sherri. Bu tI guess I am more into cleaning mode than in baking. And when I can pin my son down it is hair cutting time.

Morning everyone one. Sorry about the misplaced ornaments, Merme, sounds like you'll both have a good time with alternate decorations though. Tina, good luck with the hair cut. Tamara, we'll be waiting for you, have fun while your gone. Nana, I love banana bread and now you've got me wanting to bake some more.

I'm sore from PT yesterday. She changed up some of my exercises. It's a good sore though. Lets me know where my weak spots are. Today is a very exciting day for me. I get to do a run/walk around the lake this afternoon! My PT thought it was a good idea to get running outside and see how I feel. I think this means I'm almost done with PT, they will give me a home program to follow to avoid re-injury in the future. Not there yet but I know I'm close.

Have a terrific Sunday!

We've had a quiet-ish day here.

Maxi went to our town's tree lighting ceremony. They do a bonfire on the beach w/ caroling; horsedrawn hayrides; hot chocolate, burgers & cookies. There is a parade with the marching band, choirs, twirlers & scouts & Santa arrives on the firetruck. Everything is totally free & It is a nice celebration. So the kid went & had a great time. He has attended every year except one so it is a good tradition for him.

Avon has a new nail polish w/ a Matte finish. I tried some today & I must say it is a different kind of critter. It shines but w/ a dull shine instead of a glossy one. I keep noticing it & can't decide what I think of it.

Banananana bread sounds good to me, too, but I've been wanting to bake apple turnovers & meat pies so I gotta stay focused.

It is in the 20's w/ light snow. But the wind blew down from the north & oh so bitterly cold, it made me gasp.

Glad the a/c units were taken out of the windows yesterday & the house is snug & without drafts.

A very long day today. I plan on making it an early night.

Tomorrow will be even busier.

On the run w/ medical appointments, getting Christmas underway & preparing for what I hope is Avon sales...and getting Maxi propelled through the last 10 school days before winter break.

Hope your day goes well tomorrow, Merme. 20's is too cold for me, glad you two are nice and snug.

I really miss my email notifications, I feel lost lol Today was kind of a weird day at work, but not really bad. I just feel blah. Made hamburgers for dinner, they were yummy. Tomorrow I have PT after work. I woke up today with a lesser but identical pain to the one that landed me in PT to begin with. I've come to the conclusion that those new shoes just aren't meant for me. The good news is that Amazon has the newer version of my old shoes for almost half their original price so I plan to order a pair on Friday. Until then my old shoes will do just fine for the shorter distances I'm currently working on. I'm cold and and in need of a shower so I'll see you later.

Interesting how a change in shoes can make such a difference, isn't it, Cheryl?! I'm glad you figured it out before getting another injury.

Tomorrow when I am out, I am going to shop for silk red roses to make decorations for our tree. A dainty sprinkle of gold glitter to the edges of the petals & loops of white pearls to hang below & I'll have some nice additions.
