You sound like my deceased husband. The first year we got together I got him a Christmas soft sculpture stocking of Ebeneezer Scrooge. And a santa hat that said "Bah Humbug"

Hi everybody! Home after a long day of shopping til I was a-dropping. Now I am sipping on a little Merlot, er, um, should I say "now I am crocheting"? The mall was insane. I haven't been there in 5 years and it may be 5 more years before I go again!
![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/merme.gif) ![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/gardenhelper.jpg) We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. Oh by the way Cheryl, I'm drinking the same stuff.. so sorry to hear that, Tamara--but hey, at least you are not drinking it on a holiday as Nana said. I too wish you the best of luck for this test. May it come out with the best results possible.

As much as it was hard to go shopping today, I am VERY glad to be finished! Maxi's done. His friends are done. His dad's family is done. My sisters are done. YAY! I am waiting for a few things in the mail which are due in before Christmas, so you know I will be watching every delivery truck which draws near. All that is left is wrapping & grocery shopping which I like to do nearer to The Day so everything is fresh. I am thinking of making an old-fashioned version of Ambrosia, which has heavy cream, sour cream & mini marshmellows in it rather than the new version which has cool whip. I dislike cool whip anyway. That would be a nice treat for Christmas Day. My Grandmom Walker (father's mother) used to make it for family gatherings & I can remember that being the favorite part of the meal for me when I was a little kid. I may even get giddy and make New York style cheesecake for New Year's. New York style is drier and less creamy than other types & I like it the best. My phone has been ringing off the hook tonight, yikes!

Good evening everyone. Sorry you have to drink that stuff, Tamara. I had to chase it with a big glass of juice every time. I'm about to make my nightly hot chocolate and sit with the family for our daily dose of SVU. I had a nice run, for the most part, this evening also. No grocery shopping but that's okay. See everyone tomorrow, good night!

Morning ... Can't believe I am first here today..... got my chicken cooking away... waiting on boys to call to come over- they get to sleep in so are taking advantage of it... I jsut called in my scrips to pharm and the doc office - so will get them tonight- one more gift card to get- guess I miscounted how many I needed,,, and have to go back to Walmart- bought sleep pants for Timothy and instead of 10's got 4's... they wouldn't even fit Nicoli so back we go one more time... Well off to get my bedroom cleaned up and then work on some cookie dough if boys haven't called yet... Nana

Good morning, Nana. Sleeping in is good. I have a few things on my plate today as the rains have mellowed out before coming back fast and furious tomorrow or tonight. And coming back much colder. I have a lot to do this morning while it is semi-clear.

Good morning Nana and Tina. Our kids are taking advantage of staying up late and sleeping in too. Tina, hope you get everything you need done while you get a break from the rain. So far I'm having a pretty easy day at work. Busy but not stressfully so, which is good. I can somewhat relax and the day will fly by.

The rains eased off this morning so I made a mad dash out for a few food items before it is supposed to slam dunk us again tomorrow. I also brought in some wood for my stoves and have more to haul. Busy is so much better than bored.

Good afternoon... I went into town (finally) to go to the Urgent Treatment place...got there and decided I felt too bad to sit there for an hour to see a doctor...so I came back home.

I didn't get to go see my dad on his birthday (17th) because of this strep throat. Been taking an antibiotic since then...throat is a little better but now I have an earache to go with it. I think the LazyBoy is calling my name. I have it turned on heating up. Gotta love this heated recliner!

Our Christmas Party was cancelled for tonight. It is snowing hard & very icy. There've been accidents all over the place. And sure-footed Maxi just fell. So we are staying in & I've got 19 chicken salad finger sandwiches made & all on a platter and a ruby red bowl of gherkins in the center. All dressed up and no where to go!

Yes Tamara get some rest.... we will be here.... Merme- so sad you didn't get to go to your party- is it to be rescheduled soon... hope the sandwiches will keep.... our mtns are getting hit hard but down here you can't tell it's almost the end of Dec... no snow at all.... The boys and I decorated white lunch type bags for gift bags for the presents they got each other and the rest of the family... had to do it one boy at a time- glitter was involved and glue and markers and dripless paintbushes...love those things....they loved it- I will be cleaning up glitter forever... that stuff gets everywhere even when you are careful- they did a good job though... I helped draw pics in light pencil and they did the rest.... the little boy next door was here too and he wanted to do a bag even though he didn't have anything to put in it- just gave it to him Mom..she was happy to get it too. I wouldn't be able to see the eclipse either... lots of clouds out there... oh well. Well off to go take a hot bath and read my book... boys wore me out today. Nana

Well, the snow is tapering off a bit, but the messy downfall will continue for the next few days.... sleet, wintery mix, snow.
No, Nana, there will be no rescheduling of the Christmas Party. My district manager scheduled this one so late there isn't time to reschedule before Christmas.
Becauase Maxi doesn't like to eat anything w/ mayo, I made him some tiny turkey cheeseburgers and put them on the leftover finger rolls. You just gotta love that bread!
These were good, so I would buy fresh ground turkey again.
I am going to clean off my kitchen table so we have a good work surface I can reach. Gotta get the wrapping done! And, I am going to teach Maxi how to do it so he can wrap for his brothers & friends.

And how was your family party, Carol? And how was your Monday? Funny thing,---I got new wild Bird feeder for my exchange gift & in each end is a suet holder. Then I also received a large bag of sunflower seeds & a few pkgs. of suet. I was so very pleased. DH got me my current feeder but it has seen much better days---so this one was very much welcomed. ***good thing is I had just bought some wild bird seed, the kind that is low in sunflower seeds. so now I will be able to mix the 2 together. Then I have the seeds I harvested from the sunflowers that I grew this summer so I am set for a good while now--yea me !!! My brother made me a special baked chicken breast & baked sweet potato--all low in sodium so that I could save all of my sodium eating for the Bonya Caulda that he made. I was in heaven !!!-- Today I went to rehab & then took my MIL to do so me buisness & also took her to Wal-Greens. she likes to pick up her stocking stuffers there.

I love Walgreen's. And I have to shop there often because they have the only nutrition drinks in the world Teddy will drink. If they ever move to the plastic bottles like Ensure has, he is in trouble. But he is eating more and drinking less so we will overcome this if/when it happens. I purchase a lot of other things on my way through that store. It sounds like you have had a very nice Christmas already. And you will have a lot of happy birds.

Good morning, everybody! Today is Maxi's last day of school before break. And though I know HE is looking forward to being done for a while, so am I!! Gee I hope Tam feels better today after resting. Nana Sherri is as busy as ever, it seems. And I wonder how Missy Cheryl is this morning? And if Carol is out w/ her wild birds?

![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/merme.gif) ![[Linked Image]](//www.agardenersforum.com/images/graphics/buttons/gardenhelper.jpg) We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

You are right, Dodge! He'll be home and fussing! His big gift is being delivered on Thursday (a TV) and I am going to get in cahoots w/ his best friend Dom & have Dom get him out of the house for 2 hours that afternoon so I can take the delivery & wrap it fast! It is snowing again now... big, pretty flakes, falling slowly. They are forecasting rain for this afternoon, though! Nice and messy!

Good morning everyone----
Dodge) @ ft of snow, huh?? that is not good news---I too hopw we all have a decent Christmas.--They are calling for it to get bad here thursday at some point. I so hope that all of my family gets to where they need to be safely.
I hope that you too are able to travel where you need to go---perhaps an overnight bag would not be a bad idea??? for you---a just in case type of bag.
Tina) So good to hear that your house is where it needs to be--I hope it stays there & that the rain lets up for you. How is your roof???
Merme) sounds as if you have everyhting planned & under control. I used to always look forward to h aving my girls home form school as well. That was a great part of Christmas. I hope that you are able to get maxi's gift wrapped & taekn care of without him catching on. Good luck.
Tamara is not here---I bet she is still resting--at least I hope that is waht she is doing-Perhaps she is finishing up her Christmas preparations though. Either way I hope she id dfeeling fine.
I myself am going off to ceramics--then I have a few last gifts/wrappings to pick up. Then I will need to finish wrapping and cleaning house. and oh tomorrow I will be going shoppping. I think I will put some type of food in the icebox/freezer to eat for Christmas day incase we are all stranded in here.
