Can anyone help me identify this type of flower? It is on a green bush and it has a pleasant smell.

This looks like one of the viburnums, possibly. But given your location it could be any number of things, like a gardenia or one of the shrub jasmines. I just don't know.

Did u ever find out what your bush is , exactly? because it looks like the Korean Viburnum ... it has the most wonderful smell in the spring (in Cincinnati, it has a very short bloom time in the spring- I found out about Viburnum s at spring Grove Cemetery, which is a famous 1800's architecturally landscape designed cemetery ... and they have an Arborist (?not sure on spelling) who might be able to tell you for sure...
