I heard an interesting true story this week & I'm wondering what you all might think of the tale.

A hard-working, devoutly religous couple who didn't believe in gambling of any kind, got caught up in this controversy. The wife, without telling her husband, bought a lottery ticket & won 7 million.

The husband did not want her to keep the money. Their church would not accept it as a donation because it was "ill gotten gains".

The couple ended up divorcing & the wife kept the money.

What do you think?
Would you have kept it?
Would you have bought a ticket in the first place if your religion didn't approve?

well for me--let us just say IF I bought a ticket---I would have already had this discussion with myself before buying the ticket--so yes If I won a lottery, I would keep the $$$$.
And I think the $$$ could be given to the church in the guise of thithing--income is income & they are supposed to get at least 10% of ones income....so then I would run it thru my account & then doante a bunch of "my" money to the church.

I wonder if she would like to marry me?

Churches all take lottery tickets in Pennsylvania.
THey arent picky of donations.

If you win the lottery dont announce it. Take your money an run. If he refuses,
so be it .
