I hope you are in a better mood now. I nned to get some sleep. I need to be up early to drive my daughter to a doctor's appointment. I hope she gets home from Los Angeles before it snows. Because it should do that pretty soon here.

Good morning, everyone!

We got light snow & ice during the night & it is a slippery mess out there this morning, making the commute tricky. The sky does look brighter today, though, and that is a good sign.

This time last year we had 40 inches of snow on the ground. This year we only have a foot. Odd!

I have a very busy morning before going to dialysis. And near the top of my to-do list this week is to get Maxi a haircut! The kid is beyond shaggy. lol

Good morning. It keeps changing from snow to sleet to rain here. But the high winds make visibility bad no matter which is happening. So traffic is one huge snarl. I called and rescheduled a doctor appointment so I didn't need to add to the snarl factor. And told my daughter to stay where she was and not drive home.
Now that my fires are up and burning, I am going back to bed.

I got the dishwasher unloaded and halfway loaded again. The second load of laundry is in. My girl is at the grocery store & I've paid bills.

Good morning---Tina I anm glad that Jonni is safe where she is---that was a good call. I hope your bad weather passes soon wnough.

Merme, glad you are getting so much accomplished--good for you.
We at this house need to schedule hair cuts as well. But with Rod's work schedule that is almost impossible.

I am so late today--I sopent a good long while trying to make myself a spreadshhet to keep track of my daily weigh-ins, & that is not happeniong it seems. I can make it weasy enough but I cannot figure out how to add to the page to cover a full sized sheet---I may have to give up 7 just do a partial page.. why

but now to go to get my therapy out of the way---gee I hope this wil be done sooner rather than later---it really messes up my day...

catch ya all later--- wavy

I, for one, am glad that Cindy stays up late sometimes. It can get a little lonely around here in my evenings.
The weather is just plain snowing right now. We are to get 4-8 inches (but I sincerely doubt it). That is not much snow by the standards in other places but we are just not equipped to deal with it. There are plows up in the mountains and passes but as they are getting snow in measurements of feet, they need them. You would be hard pressed to find homes here with snow shovels. And we have plenty of sand but no snow-worthy equipment to spread it on the roads. I don't even own an ice scraper for my windshield. We just shut down when it does the rare snow thing.
So I am just as happy to be home.

Stay warm, Tina. We're not much better equipped for snow than you are. Only the main streets get any attention here, but gettin to and from the main streets is tricky, especially with all our hills. We've been having a cold spell. It's been dropping into the 20's every night. Aros warmed up my car and scraped my windows for me this morning, that was sweet. He doesn't normally do things like that. Work is going well today, getting lots done. Hoping for a run at lunch time. We'll see.

well ladies:

1) I am not going to rehab--(but will have a go on my stationary bike here in a few---
I am going to go antuiquing with my DD--yea!!!!!

2) we in Illinois are equipped for snow & ice here--but to look down my street you would never know it----
I have left my current house and the one I used to live in thinking I was being foolish to leave & a few miles down the road I found that the powers that be had totally cleaned off the roads...it seems the country roads (where I used to live) and the dead end roads (what I live down now) are the l;ast to get cleaned off around here.

I enjoy Cindy being up late as well--I am often up well past midnight (central time zone)

Hi all,
Well we are supposed to be equipped to handle the snow and ice but have found our streets are some of the last to get done- they did plow it once this time but only the sunny places have melted much now... I went and got the boys a little while ago... it's warmer today... 30*... after 2* thats warm!
I have spent the last few days deep cleaning rooms... I did the bedroom and master bath... and the kitchen... next up is the laundry room and family room, taking the Christmas decor down in here today... going to move furniture and vacuum and dust really well... do the vents and baseboards- clean out the fireplace too... we have been using it a lot the last few day... get it ready for the next cold spell ... it's on it's way according to the weather people...

Well off to get to work- make lunch for the boys first... pass out med to them- we have our round of colds now too... always fun..
Nana

I am sorry you are going through colds, Nana. Don't you catch anything if you can help it.
I have brought in wood. My indoor woodboxes are full and so is my outdoor box. But I want one more wheelbarrow full to leave on my porch. So as soon as my hands warm around a cup, that will be next. It is still snowing and blowing around.

We opted for a two mile trail run rather than a run around the lake. Much more of a workout with the hills. Felt nice. I ate my lunch and now I'm freezing again. Hopefully when I start passing out my supplies I'll warm up.

Good going, Cheryl. I hope you warm up soon.
I have all of my wood in where it belongs. And the fires are burning brightly. When they die back a bit I have ashes to clean out of them.

I see everyone is keeping busy, still can't believe Tina has snow..we had a snow storm last night and today and my tractor won't start. I have been shovelling a bit but gave up. DH will hopefully figure out what's going on, we just put new parts on it a few days ago.

It's always something...

It is always something, Tamara. I hope you have an easy fix to it.
I think our snow is done for now. And it was just a bit too warm and windy for much accumulation. But I brought in wood and I'm thinking a nap will finish the warming up.

It is good to be home. The day seemed hard to me so I planned an easy dinner.... kielbasa soup. Unfortunately, my new girl bought beef smoked sausage instead of kielbasa so it doesn't taste as good as it usually does but we will still be glad for the hot meal.

For the next two weeks Maxi will be preparing for mid-terms. He is a bit nervous but I think he will do fine. Certainly, he'll be studying hard in the days ahead.

Tomorrow when I am shopping I am going to look for something to treat Maxi's collars & cuffs. His white shirt has gotten particularly bad. He told me they get dirty fast on the desk tops or running over paper he's written on w/ pencil. I am thinking of trying Whisk.

I am better as I grow older. It used to be I couldn't walk by one of those popcorn machines and smell it without a deep craving that would not go away. But every once in a while it is very good stuff. Good ole Orville.
Microwaves have made popcorn much easier and more accessible.

although I have eaten some very good MW popcorn in my time.

My DD & her Fiance bought me an Air popper right after I got home from the hospital & she made me use it right away (you see I had one for her when she was like 2) Well, that is ok when it is hot but when it cools I think packing pellets taste about the same. egad lol

I didn't even know they still made Spam. lol
I have a confession...I have never tasted Spam in my entire life.

Do you still use a key to get it out of the can?

Andy used to get it to keep on his boat...that's where I found the Spam keys.
