I may not meet anyone else's criteria of who is welcome in the CH, but I am here anyway.

It's been snowing off and on all afternoon & evening, with expected snow squalls and clipper system coming throughout the rest of the week into the weekend. Tis the season.

Today I spent some time on the phone w/ the mom of the boy who drives Maxi home from school. She is a nice woman & has MS and is confined to a wheel chair. She seems a bit shy and I enjoy speaking with her when we have time to chat. Today I found out which Avon lipsticks she likes, so I am putting together a special bag for her & will give it to Maxi to give to her son to give to her tomorrow. I think she'll like it!

Getting the shopping done was a good thing. I've got menus planned for about a week and a few alternatives in case I don't feel up to working that hard in the kitchen on any particular day.

Also, I spent time in the laundry product aisle reading labels to find something to use on Maxi's collars and cuffs for his school shirts. They were pretty bad. I ended up buying OxiClean Max Force spray on treatment & it worked great! I am so pleased!

I also got the Dryel and will do ihis blazer this evening. I'm hoping that works well also as dry cleaning is so expensive & the kid needs a hair cut this week too.

Meanwhile, the packing continues....

I went off to make a tuna sandwich. I can no longer eat tuna (or salmon or crab or lobster) without thinking of Cindy.
I would send you one, Cindy but it would be pretty ripe by the time it got there. But I am thinking of you.

The other day at the grocery store I bought 20 cans of tuna...the check out girl said "Do you like tuna?"

Good grief...I gave Monster Cat a can of tuna and he scarfed it down and is now on the table trying to take my sandwich away from me.
He's a trip!

yes they are thank you--I usually cannot wait for night time so I do not have more to do than the day has time for--and yes I can play for awhile---

BTW: earlier up there I was referring to how I have the garden helper posts swnt to my e-mail & so I thought I must have missed something so here I am...

I read about every word but don't sign up for email alerts. I just keep refreshing with Active topics. Then read back. I get plenty of email without adding more.

yea tine I know waht ya mean--but I signed up by accident really so now I jsut leave it---

I love tuna also but Maxi won't eat it from a can, so I usually only make it when he isn't home, just for me.

Carol I think I've read that Cheryl also gets email alerts. I do not get those because my inbox is pretty busy already. In fact, I am thinking of eliminating my facebook alerts because if I post on someone's post there, I get an alert about everyone else who also posts & 99% of the time I'm not interested in all the rest as they usually are by people I don't know & can't interact with directly. The other thing I am thinking of eliminating is my Avon email club. There are about 20 of us Avon Reps who belong. The problem is, each person hits "reply all" for each email, so you can see how the number just grows & grows. Fortunately, my gmail groups the replies together to make it more manageable, but still it can get overwhelming.

Today I went 'round & 'round w/ a mail order pharmacy & Maxi's pedi office. The pedi office had set us up to receive his Rx's via mail because it is hard for us to get to the drug store in our town or go up to Portland to the dr's office. The law mandates that one of the meds he takes gets a new script each month & that was a terrible hassle for us. So with the mail order, the pedi office can fax the script to the mail order company & it comes right to the house.

But suddenly they've changed the rules and today I had to go to the post office to pick up the medication package because I had to sign for it. Trouble is, the post office in our town is farther away than the pharmacy! So the mail order made getting his meds harder for us rather than easier.

The pedi office tried to deal w/ the mail order pharmacy directly but they want me to call them & request that his meds be mailed to time w/ days I am at home so I can sign when the carrier comes to the door. With my demanding schedule of medical appointments that isn't even practical.

Well, I'm hoping to work this out after we get moved but for now it is what it is, unfortunately. The pedi office was pretty disappointed this plan didn't work out, too, as they understand our situation intimately.

merme---I hate dealing with insurance companies (ie mail order pharmacies)--they are teh pits---so sorry for you.

I am marking time until I can go to bed. I never napped today.

I had 2 naps today. One from 9am til 11:30am...another one from 3pm til 5 pm.
I will never be able to sleep tonight.

I tried to nap. But I had some happy news about a friend and my mind was churning. So it did not happen. I just have to wait until I feel I can settle Ted into bed. He is having too much fun watching videos right now to disturb him. Soon though.

Good morning! Tamara, hope you get the rest you need and start feeling better very soon. Merme, how are you? Tina, has the weather improved in your area? It starting raining last night, which is wonderful because rain beings warmer temps. It was really nice not to have to scrape my windows this morning and the extra 10 degrees made it feel somewhat warm. Work shouldn't be too bad today. I just need to place my order and if all goes well I'll do some of my stocking early.

A good second morning for me. My weather is much improved from last weekend. Although very windy.
I went back to bed this morning. And now I am deciding what to have for a brunch meal because I woke up hungry.

I made biscuits for my breakfast. Just hot buttered biscuits. My diet would freak out your heart therapy people. Real butter, whole milk, salt to taste, etc.

Hi everybody, I'm home.

Cheryl I am doing pretty well. Just got back from dialysis, having some snackage & resting. When I feel more up to it, I am making fish chowder for dinner tonight.

Maxi is preparing for his mid-terms and spent some time outside after school today running around in the nice weather. It is wet out there, but was still a nice day.

I took a pretty good nap this afternoon. I am looking forward to cooking spaghetti for dinner. I simmered the sauce for hours already.

Tina, I had a good sized nap as well-----and now I bet I end up staying up really late as a result--but oh well--the nap was nice indeed.

I will be around for part of your evening, Carol. You needn't be alone.

I have fallen asleep in the chair several times today.
Insomnia is not being too nice to me...I would rather sleep at NIGHT.

I have a kids still at home with me. I have to sleep at night. Mostly so I am here for him during the day. I am very lucky that I can nap.

Long time ago when Rachel was still in school and at home she would wake up in the middle of the night and I would be gone...she'd call down to my sign shop and I would be down there working. At least I made money then when I couldn't sleep...all I do now is stay on the internet!
