Your sign shop was right there on the property, right?
Ted doesn't use the phone. He won't answer the phone. He doesn't talk. I sometimes wonder how an emergency would be handled when it was just the two of us.

Yep...my sign shop was at the bottom of the driveway...if I screamed down there someone in the house could here me...that is, if I didn't have my music up to about 5 bazillion decibels. I had a different phone number iin the shop.


...that is something to think about. Hopefully you will never have such an emergency.

Oh my Tina--do you have a plan in place for Ted????

Oh, yes. I have the plans for Ted's future if I drop dead or am unable to take care of him. And if I am not seen or heard from for a while by neighbors and they know Jonni is gone, we get checked on.
I do need to do more towards his future as he gets older. When he turns 18 in a year and 4 months, both my older daughter and I will become his legal guardians to preserve the chain of command, so to speak. It is a thought out plan.

I think I might start a topic...on the woman in the grocery store who had her skirt up inside he pantyhose in back and didn't know it.

...but it kinda makes me look a little shallow because I didn't tell her...all I wanted to do was figure out how to get a picture on my cell phone.

LOl well no I would have not said anything to her---she would have been so embarrased she would have been livid with you--at least I think she would have been.

It was not so much shallow as just kind of the norm for the times, Cindy.

A chilly 17 today and clouds rolling in for the approaching storm....

Gee, Cindy, I don't think you need to worry that the woman w/ the stuck skirt would have been angry at you. She probably would have been grateful, especially if you offered to stand behind her for a second to be a barrier from public view while she fixed it. These may be modern times, but women are still women & appreciate it when someone helps spare them something bad (or worse) happening.

I had a second very rough night & was mostly up all night again. Two nights in a row w/ no nap in-between is tough, so I am going to cancel one of the appointments I had scheduled for today.

Good morning. It is a warm morning if you are out of the wind. And I am. But as I have nothing pressing on my schedule, I may just crawl back under my blankets and watch the day dawn.

Morning..our cable/internet provider had a glitch and we had no service for all of yesterday afternoon and evening.

DH and I went to visit DD and baby last night for a bit, I missed the baby so much..it was only for a few hours but surely brightened up my mood. I have a lot to get caught up on in the house..Merme is apparently sending her storm to me after she is done with it

Thanks..DD has her phone/internet and cable through them..we have alot of trouble so I keep my phone through the only other provider available for phone service.

Morning all,
Got up late so everything is happening slowly in my house today- got to clean up my ofc... ended up being the shove it in room during the holidays- it's a mess... got a bunch of paperbacks that fell of shelf and need to box them up for the trader guy... need to get my pictures back in boxes- get out the ones I need to copy and print for new frames Carrie gave me- it's a hanging system- says Nana & Papa at the top and has hooks to hang frames down - need to print out 4x6 pics of all the kids now... love it!
will need to order more frames though- she miscounted kids...
It's warmed up a little here but going to get cold again this weekend- still have snow on ground but streets are clear at least... more snow coming they say....
Well off to get caught up.... dusting and vacumming to do in here- if I can avoid sitting at the puter ....LOL!

I tried to lay down for a nap. But it just was not going to happen until I got my daughter out of the house for her appointment. She is gone now but I am not sleepy. I'm sure I will be later.

Sounds like a wonderful idea Nana..I got a special grandchild frame for Christmas as well say's "Life's greatest blessing", gonna be hard to choose the pics for it. All the pics are special Mind you..you have enough grandkids to fill all your walls

I actually do own one and a board. Both are encrusted with dust where they are stored. I truly do not want to use either.

Nana Sherri! It is so good to see you! I've been wondering about you and thinking I was going to call you. Your new picture frames sound great.

Tamara, we aren't sure how much we are actually going to get with the storm. There are two systems moving our way. One is a clipper system coming East from the Great Lakes. The other is a coastal squall coming up from the South. IF the coastal squall stays in an Easterly track, we might just get the rim of it and only a few inches. If it continues on a more Northward direction, we are going to get clobbered, especially if it meets the clipper system over our wee little heads!

I am an ironing fool! I love to iron! Like Tam, I will even iron things which don't need it if I get on a roll!!!

Then duck, Tamara. It sounds like it could dump a lot or a little. You just never know.
Does the weather affect your internet connection much?

Ironing--If I get on a roll then yes I like to iron--I will go pull unironed things out of the closet to "spruce them up" but that said it can be months between time when the ironing board is pulled out of muy closet.
If I take something out of teh dryer that needs ironed, no one gets to wear it until I feel I ahve enough "saved" up to warrent getting out teh iron & the board

which BTW: My board belonged to my grandmother---After my grandmother passed (I was 6) my aunt had it--later it broke so she threw it away--when I was like 15 I saw it in her trash & asked my mom if I could take it home---she said yes, my dad fixed it (it had lost a screw) and I still have it---so now it is a double gift--it belonged to my grandmother plus my dad fixed it--
I am so happy to use it.

That is awesome, Carol. I have my grandmother's cookie jar that she received as a wedding gift in the early 1900's. It is an owl. I have always loved it and I lucked out and got it.

Yes Tina, even wind affects my connections..all our service runs through lines and cables here.

I someday hope to get a cordless iron...oh to dream.

It's a nice thing for family to leave behind 'treasures' to loved ones..they seem to leave me a teacup and saucer.

My ex-mil would have loved your teacups and saucers. She collected them. After dinner coffee with a crowd at her house was a treat to see all of the different cups.
I am going to nap now. I am feeling it coming on.

I have an early morning court appearance tomorrow as I've been in dispute w/ the managers of my complex for more than a year. Tomorrow should settle it! Then I have to rush off to dialysis. It is going to be a long day.
