So how was your therapy today, Carol? Are they helping at all with the dietary part?

My therapy was wonderful.

No, they are not helping with my diet at all--never were going to that was my misconception---

they did say that If I had a specific question they had a dietition that I could make an appointment with so I made an appt with the dietition in springfield & she helped me quite a bit. Plus she had a cookbook that she had compiled for their wellness center that I use quite a bit.

I am going to e-mail said dietition, tomorow & ask her a few more questions---she was so very helpful.

I just hope I am doing this eating thing right.....

Yes. And you were pointed towards a couple of links that has recipes for your needs too.

I keep forgetting what I got up to do, then I set back down and remember it...and it's turned into a crazy, vicious cycle this evening.

Oh, I gotta get a picture of my kitty's tooth...he lost his first baby tooth today!

And the links were posted right after you came back. You were still digesting all you had to deal with and were tired.

really I was not in a good frame of mind & was feeling sorry for myself.

now at least I do not feel worry for myself--and I have hope.
plus as they said would happen I am getting used to teh tastes of food now 7 so do not think of my food as "slop" any longer---

And Carol, Come here when you have a slab of meat or other ingredients and ask. We may be able to help with appropriate recipes. I follow my cravings with most things.
I have cut back on my salt just because I am not craving it as much. And I am finding some things too salty right out of a package or a can. I didn't think that was possible. But switching to sea salt did that for me. I read that sea salt has other trace minerals and that they satisfy in a way that our regular table salt does not. So I decided to give it a try. I did not see any difference but I suddenly realized I am not adding salt at the table like I used to.

Dang...still jumping up and down. Maybe I'll lose some weight doing this.
Making suet cakes, feeding the cat, doing dishes, feeding the cat...this cat is eating me out of house and home.

Same here for me...I thought I could not live without mega salt...I don't even have a salt shaker on the table anymore.

I will say that whikle the sea salt has the sofium in i t---a friend of m ine often said ti must not have the sodium in it that other salts do because when I use it my feet do not swell as badly.

and now Tina says waht she says sabout sea salt.

I use little to no salt at all anymore--never on the table & rarely in cooking. I will & do in baking, but I think it matters in it.

I've been looking for pills to take...to keep from having to go to the doctor tomorrow.
I need to clean my medicine cabinet out. Actually, it's boxes of stuff stacked in the bathroom. But...I found some Breathe Right nasal strips. Yahooo!!!

do those things work??? I have always wondered about them....
