TV sucks here,, Mostly religion and spanish stations,, News and world reports,, zoink glad I have my puter But it's still boring.
Heck I even got up and cleaned my hospital room,, changed the chairs around, Moved the bed to sit at a different angle,, TOTALLY Bored here lol

Diane, I hope you get to go home soon. I've never had to stay overnight in a hospital but I can imagine how boring it is. I didn't sleep well last night either but I think it was mostly me making myself nervous. Good morning, Shani! I don't usually get on here when your around. It's only 5:46am here. I'm never up this early.

Good Morning !! I have been up since 7:30 my time.

about 9 am 3 little boys (about aged 9 I think) came to my door and offered to clean the driveway for $3.00 so I said yes----in about 5 minutes (when they had my porch cleaned off) another of the boys came to teh door and asked if I wanted jsut my porch done or did I mean my driveway lol
so I said well yes my drivevway----so I said I will give you each $2.00 instead of the $1 apiece since you will be doing the driveway-- when they were done I gave them each $3.00.

and OH!!! after the mail man came the first boy came to the door with my mail. such a nice thing for them to do.

That was a very nice thing to do. It seems there aren't many kids willing to shovel sonw for money anymore. When I was young everyone was out doing it but now so few bother, and the ones that do go around I've heard of them asking for $40 for a driveway that would take 1 person a half hour to do.
That was also nice of you to give them more then they asked for a dollar each doesn't seem like much for shovelling.

I agree Shani---I thought th at too but I thought to myself--they asked me for that amount, so I went with it--but I could not ask them to do all of that work for just a dollar apiece so I gave them each the amount that they asked for for all of them.

I am betting that Rodney will say I should have given them more.

Yes, shoveling snow is hard work.
Good morning again. I got about 8 hours of sleep broken into 3 segments. So I am good to go.

Cute Carol..paying 3 times what they asked for is a good idea. They'll figure it out as they go along. By the time they are teens, it'll rise to $40 as well lol

My computer wouldn't start this morning..at all, kept telling me there was a problem with Windows, so I re-started in 'safe mode' and did a system restore and scan. Never found anything but now I'm worried because my computer sped up abnormally faster than it was. So if you don't see me around tomorrow..you know it fried itself. nervous

I am off to shower, been outside all day shovelling roofs and re-banking the house..can it be spring soon? shewinks

It might be cheaper to get a big fan on the western side of your country and blow the jet stream south. applaud

Good grief...there's several inches of snow already, and it's coming down hard with a very strong wind. I just went out and put some garbage bags over the windshield wipers so it would be easier to thaw the truck out in the morning. Have to be on the interstate early.

I might just say screw the doctor appointment in the morning.

I think that may well be a sound idea, Cindy---if what we have here is any indication of the snow you are getting.

In the St Louis area, one section of the interstate was even closed down today for awhile.

Weather channel says 1-2 inches is all...but we already have 3. lol
And it will be 19 degrees when I get up in the morning. boohoo

Rachel is supposed to get a LOT of snow...they are excited!
They always get 6 inches when we get 1" here. They are still young...they enjoy it.
Last time I enjoyed snow was at Bill's...I'm old now.

It is not theor fault now a days most weather people get the weather forcast wrong. Their excuse here was they "misjudged" teh amount of moisture we had so as a result we got more snow than they thought. I completely understand about the staying home--I stayed in today and I will be staying in tomorrow.

To be out in this snow and the cold that goes with it is not a good idea to my way of thinking.

I so bad need those sleeping pills I was getting tomorrow. boohoo
Oh, well...I'll just go out and make a snowman tomorrow and maybe the exercise will wear me out and I will be able to sleep. thumbup
No way I would drive in this...I used to drive everywhere in the snow/ice...didn't care. Now that I am old I have wimped out so bad I can't stand the thought of driving in snow. I had to drive last week iin the snow/ice and I was terrified. You couldn't have driven a greased needle up my [BLEEP] with a sledgehammer.

An extremely controlled substance...can't call it in.
But, I'm sure he could call in the Celexa...and since it makes people sleep better that might be all I need. I don't like taking those Halcion...they make me do things I don't remember. And I know this because...it's a long story... notme

Yep...or if they could let me in later in the day the road dept will have the roads cleared...they're really good about that here. (My brother is the head of the road department...he tells the plows to plow my road first.) lol

now THAT sounds like a good plan---and that is great that your brother takes care of yo ulike that.

back in teh day, my aunt's boss was the mother of the town's road commisioner. So she would make sure that my aunt's roads were plowed ASAP after a snow storm so she could get into work---LOL

Good night Cindy, sweet dreams--I am sleepy now so to sleep I am headed---

Good night Tina--sweet dreams to you as well---don't forget teh alarm clock. grin

No alarm clocks for me tonight. Ted has a soupy, drippy, coughy cold and he has shared it with me. He is so generous. No school tomorrow so we do not have to rise and fall by the hands of the clock.
Sweet dreams, Carol.

Hi everyone. You off to bed Carol? Good night! I don't think I'm going to have any major issues sleeping tonight. My feet hurt and my legs ache from work today. My body just can't handle these busy days like it used to. Maybe the weight gain has a little to do with that. I'll probably been heading off to bed in the next hour or so. I may watch an episode or two of Dexter first but I haven't decided yet. Cindy, I hope the weather isn't so bad that you can't get your medicine. We're supposed to be getting more rain and some areas could see more landslides since we really haven't dried out at all. Maybe it will actually rain when I run tomorrow and I can finally give my hat a proper test. Every time I bring my hat for rain, and the couple times it snowed a bit, it dries up for my run. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing but I kind of like running in the rain and I really want to try out that hat properly. I'm thinking of changing into my running clothes in the morning and driving to the trail from Joey's school and getting my run in first thing in the morning. That way I still have my whole day to start on laundry and buy groceries.

That sounds like a plan, Cheryl. But I feel a little odd wishing rain for your run. It just doesn't sound right.

I know, it seems odd. I've come to the realization that runners are generally odd. No wonder I like it so much, lol. I do live in Seattle though so running in rain is inevitable.

Good morning! I can't believe I'm the first one here today. I slept pretty good last night so I'm pretty happy about that. Not too much going on for me today. Running, laundry, and grocery shopping.

Good morning. I got to sleep in and I needed it. I am hoping my cold has settled into something a little more livable than yesterday.
