I recently planted some primroses in pots (outside) and about 4 days after planting, most of them (all except 1) have wilted. For no apparent reason. It has been very cold (below freezing at night) and I am wondering if this is the problem. If this is the problem, once it warms up, will they start growing again?

Primroses are perennials so they should come back. If plants aren't hardened off to the cold, they will wilt and sometimes even die.

You should take them in for a bit...

Maybe froze if they were in a warm store. They have to be hardened off.
