Hi all i really need help with our yucca. Some time ago we repotted it with outdoor multi purpose compost which our garden centre advised although the yucca is an indoor plant thats when the problems began the top of the yucca felt really soft and stopped growing. We were then told we had the wrong compost and to use household multi purpose compost so we repotted we were also told to cut the plant down which we did.Since repotting and cutting down we got a stem through and thought great all will be ok but today when we checked we noticed molding and brown puss seeping from the bottom of the plant im guessing its rotting but before we repot i would like to know if its worth it? this plant holds a lot of sentimental value and we will do anything it takes to nurse it back to health any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Should i take the cutting and try to grow that or can this plant be revived?

Thanks in Advance Baz
