HELLO, I have a 4x4 beam that supports my car port. And I have a Honeysuckle coral (Lonicera Japonica 'Halliana')I live in southern Georgia, I want to put it in a big pot and have it climb up the pole. My question it how to get it climbing? I had a vine plant last year and I used nails for it to grip to. Well needless to say... I think that by doing that I killed it :( Every where I read its telling me to run wires to the ground in stakes. well my ground it cement. sooo. what do I do? And is putting it in a pot An ok Idea? I was thinking it would be because I think that when winter comes I can cut it down. but then again now that I'm thinking does this plant even die off in the cold.....
Thanks for any and all help
