Good morning. I have not yet been out to check what damage the heavy overnight rains may have done. I just want lots of coffee first.

No damage. At least on one side of my house. I have not checked the west side yet. I stayed out to clean up some clutter and then pulled weeds and never made it all the way around. We had about 6 inches of rain last night accompanied by winds and fun stuff. I froze my fingers stopping to pull weeds. I have to remember gloves when I head out.

Good morning, everybody! wavy

Gee, it was so strange to notice my computer is all dusty! That's what I get or rarely going on line! So I'm trying not to sneeze too loudly as I type! lol

Can't possibly read back on all that I've missed but I sure hope everyone is doing well.

We had 3 more inches of snow yesterday... been getting squalls off and on all week. We will al be so glad when spring weather decides to isist Maine!

Today I must go to Portland to get a new leg. Maxi is still home sick.

Hello ,
It's been a long day already- went to Wallyworld and got the boys watches and lamps for their rooms... not expensive ones .. they have been asking for watches for a while now... so we decided it would be a good thing for now..
It's really windy here- up to 75 mph in gusts- not good - it is so dry and there is at least one fire going... people having to evacuate and such-- not a lot of home damage yet but I wouldn't want to be on fire alert all the time...
I put off getting our tax stuff together so yesterday finally got it done... will take it to them tomorrow... hopefully won't be any nasty suprises...LOL!
Merme did you get the new apt or did I just miss you telling about it?
Well off to get busy... oh yes I have one crocus blooming... just one so far but spring has sprung finally - even though the mts are getting more snow today..

Hi Sherri! Nope, we haven't gotten an apt yet. Keep praying!

I hope your taxes go smoothly tomorrow.

Gpod idea to get the boys watches.

That wind doesn't sound too good, dear. Take all care.

Good morning. I have been busy today but am getting ready to settle down for a bit. I am officially out of cut and split firewood. When I need more it will be chainsaws and splitters. And when I have cut up and burned what I have that will pretty much be the end of it. I need to gather a bunch over summer and I will be purchasing wood for the first time ever for next winter.

Well Tina, if you are going to buy it, Oak is a good choice (as you no doubt well know)--well about any hard wood really.

But that is later---now why not look forward to "gardening season""

Hi everyone---I hope you all had a great day---It was beautifulk weather here---and I really enjoyed i t---but "they" say next week it is going to be cold again----and should begin to cool off at some point tonight or tomorrow---*goody--goody* NOT !!!

Oak is very good. But eucalyptus is very good and much more abundant here about. It burns hot and clean like oak does. I usually burn wood through to mid-June. I may be a tad bit cooler in here this spring.
We are cooler than usual for March too. I hope you sring really springs for you soon, Carol.

eucalyptus HUH ?? well---glad to hear there is a lot of it around for you, that should make it less costly too, right???

I love that you are burning wood--it makes me smile each time I think of you burning wood. shewinks

about spring springing for me--well we have had a few nice days here--since the weekend anyway---but they say any time now we will be getting some cooler weather once again----and that the cool spell should/could last for a week or more---but then that is Illinois for you.
Good news is this time of year the cool weather does not usually last real long, nore get too bad. I can only hope that holds true this year as well, as it has in past years.

Good news is all of my snow crocus as well as my narcissus have already bloomed. Now all is left is my 3 Hyacinths and my daffodils (the Daffs I brought from the farm.)---Hopefully I will be able to enjoy them some yet before the cold snap they are predicting gets to them. why but oh well..it is what it is I guess--I have gotten to enjoy them some at least---

I think I will go to sleep now--so good night my friend--sleep well--

yep--in my opinion we all need those days.
They help us regenerate so we can "get back at it" another day.

I am kinda having one of those today---doing some things but not much---still in my jammies shewinks (1:15 here)

LOL Carol , I just finally got my shower and dressed and it's 1:27pm.. did clean a bathroom-my office and the family room-and the kitchen.. clipped my coupons and straightened my bedroom .. gathered laundry to get going and now I am going to go start putting all the stuff I cooked last couple days into the freezer bags and seal...
I also had to complain to the newspaper again .. no paper today- I swear one more time and I will cancel it altogether... I'll read it online or my ereader a whole lot cheaper... and go buy the Sun paper for the coupons...
I have the boys after school today so better get myself moving... got the rest of the house to vacuum and dust.. the windy days we have had just make more dust in here... but the weather has been really nice besides the wind--
Well off to freeze!

I decided to go shopping. There were a few things I wanted and Jonni is going out of town. She is my main Teddy-sitter while I do boring running around. I did mess up at the bank though and tossed money into the wrong account. Gotta fix that.

Good Gracious !! I saw that my weather button on my computer said that it was snowing---So, I go to the window & not only is it snowing, the ground is white !! OMG !! Didn't anyone tell the powers that be that it is spring? Or that it was like 85 last week??? Pure craziness I say!!!

But then again that is Illinois for you....
Stay tuned---in a few days it will be warm again--& then cold again---craziness I tell you.

You're weather sounds almost as confused as ours has a tendency to be. Sorry for the snow, hopefully it'll be gone very soon.

I have a busy day ahead of me today. I have a massage scheduled this morning and then I have to get my allergy shots and pick up a couple of meds at the pharmacy. After that I have to go to the bank with DH to open up a business checking account and then we'll need to make a grocery list so that I can go shopping. After grocery shopping it'll be just about time to cook dinner and then after dinner I can finally relax. I took Sunday off because I just needed an extra day off. It's been really busy these last couple weeks and I'm starting to feel burn out coming along so I scheduled myself a massage and took a three day weekend. The only thing I to do this weekend is get the laundry done but that's no big deal. I'm thinking of staying away from my computer and phone for Saturday and Sunday to get maximum benefit of stepping away, so to speak. If you don't hear from me this weekend, that's why. Don't worry, I'll be back!

Tamara hope you will be feeling good again soon... will pray for you...
It's been a long day today- up early- cooked and froze more- had boys- did laundry- still have to fold it...made plans with Carrie to take boys to museum next week during spring break- Teresa gave us guest tkts for 3 of them.. so will only have to pay for the pirate exhibit and our tkts and lunch...give us a good day out too- and Joe and Joseph can do our basement clean out and recarpet.. we may even ride the train which the boys love...
Well off to fold.. then to bed-

Good morning everyone. I had a pretty good weekend though it wasn't long enough. I got a massage on Friday but had to run errands after. DH and I ended up with a free breakfast so that was nice. Saturday the girls talked me into going to the nail salon and I ended up getting a pedicure. There's something I'll have to treat myself to on a semi regular basis. I had also slept about 10 hours Friday night. Yesterday was mostly a lazy day. I made breakfast and read my book. I ended up taking a three hour nap even though I had slept a good 8 1/2 hours the night before. I got to bed about my usual time and had trouble getting up this morning. I don't know why I'm needing all this sleep all of a sudden. It's better than the insomnia I used to have so I won't complain.

Good morning. Last week was a very wet one. This week is supposed to be dry and warm. I hope to spend it outdoors cleaning up and getting some firewood in for the next cool round.
