Are we boring you, Cindy?
I have not done anything spectacular to write about. We got my daughter's car fixed and am grateful that she could afford to pay the ransom. I do wish for simpler vehicles that are easier to repair. I am hard-pressed to name 10 things under a newer vehicles hood these days. In my olden days there were maybe not even 10 things under there to name. And a mechanic is useless, you need a tech now.
I am finished complaining. And very glad to be able to afford the repairs needed to keep my kid safe.
We have had a couple of damp days so I didn't get to play out in the dirt much.

Nope....the yawn was because I'm sleepy tired worn out and can't sleep...haven't slept in many days/nights...it's another one of those insomnia binges I have.

In the good old days we used to keep duct tape and a coat hanger in the trunk to fix anything that went wrong with a car. Not these days.... *sigh*

Good morning. I think we are warming and drying up a little. I really want to get some outdoor work done.

I am sorry. I wish I knew a magical fix for sleep problems.
I still keep the duct tape and wire in my car. Old habits....

I think that in the good old days cars lasted longer and they broke down less often. Plus when they did they cost less to repair, as Tina was saying.

We had some wicked weather yesterday---various storms went thru---early morning & then again in the evening & night. dont know how much rain we got last night yet, but yesterday morning we had 3-1/2 inches in say a matter of 2-1/2 hours. yikes
---and to top it off it was hot & humid between t imes. This morning it is cooler (41 now with an expected high of 58 ) but thankfully quiet.

I hAve much tio do today. Therapy then to get s booster shot for my DD's dog, then home to let the dogs out (I am puppy sitting for my youngest) then off to run errands in the opposite direction of my morning jaunt, and then finally to get mt hair trimmed at 5pm.

I really would appreciate not being so busy sometimes---

everyone have a nice day---

Good late morning. I have been a little busy. But it still seems like not much has been accomplished. A kind of running-in-place feeling.

Tonight I put together a whole bunch of baskets (12). I volunteered to do an egg hunt for a group of kids (maybe 8?). What was provided was weak to say the least (2 doz plastic eggs w/candy). So I put in my two cents worth and have enough to make a bunch of kids happy; buckets with Chocolate bunnies, peeps and bubbles in them then lots of toy and candy filled eggs to find along with a mess of candy bars. If more kids show than I expect, I can accommodate. It will be fun.

Tina it is just some virus--but as I cannot take any OTC medications I went to the dr who said basically it is tylenol or nothing--as Tylenol is like taking candy to my body--I got to sufer thru what should have been merely an annoyance.

he did give me an antibiotic that I could have to take care of teh siunus infection I had/have because of the virus.
Thank you so much.

Morning all,
My family requested beef and cheese enchiladas for Easter Dinner... so I cooked overnight two roasts and shredded the meat this morning as soon as I woke up, slept in as didn't sleep well... sure wish I could get back to sleeping all night... this 5 hour stuff doesn't work to well...
I am going to make my Easter Bunny cake too- the older boys requested it... got to get it in oven soon and take my shower while it bakes- fold the laundry I didn't do yesterday and get the house reasonably picked up some--- weather is crappy out - cold and supposed to rain/snow .... only have some of the grands- twins and son's family have all been sick so they are staying home today... Carrie is coming after they go to her inlaws and oldest will be here with at least 1 kid... never know how many will show.... but am making at least 3 big pans of enchiladas so think there will be enough....rice and beans too of course....
Well Happy Easter all...hope it's beautiful and sunny where you are!
Nana

I am sorry about your sinus' but glad you got the antibiotics to help, Carol.
Mmmm, Nana. Your Easter dinner sounds scrumptious. You made me hungry and I will have to wander towards my kitchen and see what is to be had soon. We don't do a dinner per se.
I have gotten calls from my adult children. I love that they think of us on holidays. I get calls other days but special ones on special days. Ted is a happy boy with some new videos to watch. So we are having a good day.

Morning,
Heading up to get my coffee and breakfast- having to wait an hour between meds and food is not fun.... we had a nice dinner and family time last night- it's cold and rainy but we really need it- sure is greening everything up nicely- I have one tulip blooming now. my daffys are gone.. the grape hyacinth has taken over again- it's pretty but really invasive... I didn't plant it but work every yr to get rid of some of it...LOL!
I need to go pick up boys in an hour or so- no school except for reading tests for 2 of them today- will bring them back and make french toast for them... been letting two loaves of bread get stale for it- well off to get the day started.... have a good day all!

yes I am too!!! and yes I too so wish the gas prices would come down---it is not like we any of us suddenly have extra money to make up for the increase.....and they were talking about peiople leaving their cars at home--well that is fine if public transportation is offered--but here that is not an option. rolz

well I've made a decision,, I'm going to take Foster Grandparents class to get certified. It will require taking off work for a couple of days/ There is 24 hours of classes, Intensive FBI back ground check, Very intensive Home study, it will take 4-6 months to complete every thing required, But in the long run it will be beneficial to my income, there fore beneficial to the boys/
I won't be recieving any other children, so that is a good thing, thumbup But I will be getting a Check every month as long as I have any of the boys. It's enough of an income the eventually I can only work part time if I chose to. That in it's self will help with my health issues thumbup. Also I have accepted the 'KINSHIP" program, also beneficial with a one time check. Both have lots of paper work involved,, but,,, that's really no big deal, looking at the end result makes the paper work a lot easier to do.
Everything is finally getting ironed out,, 6 months from now I should be back up on my feet financially. I tell ya it's been a hard road Since Dwight has died,, actually even before by a few months with only my income. But at last I have connected with the right people looking out for my interest, via the boys, God works in Mysterious ways,, And I don't question, Just accept what he hands me,, and make the best of it.

Diane. Sounds like a good plan for all of you... I had a friend in Az that had her grands as foster kids and it worked out really well for her- there were 5 of them all under 6 when she got them... keeping you in my prayers...
I have been spring cleaning my bedroom today- why does stuff always end up where it really has no business being... up and down stairs a lot to put stuff away.... LOL! when we retire it will be to a one floor house for sure...
We had our first spring thunder today- no rain but it did thunder a couple times...
Well off to finish up the upstairs and then I am curling up with my ebook and going to bed early- these warm one day and cold the next days are getting to me....

That does sound like a good, solid plan, Diane. I know it's been hard, and will continue to be. I so admire you for what you have done for your boys... kissie I will keep praying for all of you.

Just checking in for a little while...been kinda under the weather so to speak. I haven't been able to go to the store to get dog food for the stray dog I'm feeding, but I have plenty of cat food here. He seems to like it more than the cat does....go figure.

Thanks, Tina. Gosh, did I scare everyone away or what? The girls are making french desserts this week and I have to help them, at least to some degree. Ashley is making nougat, that's the hard one. Mandy is making some kind of cookie, her recipe looks much easier. She's working on hers right now and I'll probably help Ashley tomorrow. Other than that, there's not a lot new going on here. Yesterday was really nice and today it got kind of stormy. I just want warmth. I'd be extremely please with a little warmth.

Up early & will soon be on my way to my daughter's house to help her with her yard sale today. Luckily the day is supposed to be beautiful.

I was looking at a plant nursery yesterday--They have all of their bedding plants out, so the time is soon I guess. Their water lilies were not out yet though, BUT they were getting the station for them ready--so it will not be long now until I set up this years water lily area thumbup BUT I usually wait until Mother's day weekend to put out any plants---I long ago decided it is best to be on the safe side. Even so my dad would have been on his second plantings by now--(he was ever the optimist when it came to his gardens)...My I am going to miss that man.... tears

I'll catch everyonw tonight-- wavy

I wonder what you re searching for in those yard sales, Carol? I used to love yard and garage sales. I'd pile the kids in the car and go searching for fun. In later years I looked for tools and things. I rarely stop at them any more. They are very cool when you have small children. But I don't often see much that intrigues me any more.
