Let's hope he doesn't have a heir apparent or whatever. I'm glad he's dead and I hope he rots.

For a long time I started thinking this day would never come. Finally! And I hope he was scared out of his mind...if only for a brief moment before the end.

Just when you think something will never happen it sure does happen--yea for the U S of A ..

I'm sure in all the private sectors of the al qaeda there is one next in line to take over, and that person is rejoicing as well because now He will be the 'empowered' one to create havoc.
I will still proceed with caution will NOT go to pro football/basketball games , visit larger cities ,go to huge malls etc,, None of which I did anyway ~
I don't think we as Americans can or should not let our guard down even for a moment.

I do Hope that all the families of the victims of 911 , feel a sense of justification in Bin Laden's death, and can find some peace in this

About time if it is true. Seems to cut and dry also why does it take the police weeks to get a DNA test back and the Seals a matter of minutes or hours? Would be too easy to kill someone and say it was Bin Laden and no one would know the difference no body now has anyone even seen any pictures? Sorry I am such a skeptic life has made me that way. Just hope and pray I am wrong.

I questioned that as well Jimmy,, Just dumped him in the sea,, as IF,, the sea life had any say in it,,,,/ At work we were talking about that and the general consensus is that this way a 'shrine' can't be built for him by his followers, AHh Heck if they want to build one one will be built,, regardless where his body is,, .
My main thing is,,,, again I can only hope this will bring some kind of closure for the victims families of 911. It's been a long time coming for those families

well as I understand it--he was killed sometime yesterday--they kept it quiet until they had the DNA testing & pictures taken & such so as to be certain that he was who they thought he was---

I am thinking they didnt want to upset any Muslim beliefs by keeping the body an y longer---
so far I have seen pictures of the room he was in--(after the fact) on the news and it was stated that there will be other pictures of him to follow---so I think eventually we will see pictures of him dead---or at least we can only hope that is the case...
Personally, I must say that I would have kept his body as proof myself, if I were making teh rules, with no regard to Islamic law---but that is just me---

that is what our point of discussion was at work today Carol,, I'm with you on that one,, I just believe that the victims of 911's family would want to personally see that he is dead, I know I would,, Proof is in the pudding as they say,, I believe the body was disposed of far to quickly. I imagine there is a lot of mixed feeling on that subject,, Even the Bible says not to rejoice in the death of an ememy, as it will anger God,,

I can only pray God would understand compassionately in this case, this may well mean a prayer for forgiveness for me,, Because I AM GLAD Bin Laden's life has been taken,,

If the people don't get proof that he is really dead, after them saying they dumped his body in the ocean...well, I can only say that this will way out-do the Kennedy Assassination Conspiracy Theory that has been ongoing for many decades. I personally want to see bin Laden's head on a freaking stick.

I hear ya on that one Cindy!! That was my first instinct when I heard them say they dumped his body in the sea,, Who the heck cares for 'their law' he certainly wasn't concerned with ours,, this is enough to make us all scratch our heads in wonder " what's really going on>? ."

Their law also says he can be buried. But then you's have a 'place' where people could go to worship a martyr. I think this was the best way.

That what I had said earlier,, Most people at work believe it's the best way,,
I just think the 24 hour thing was a disregard to all the lives lost in our Country,, and who has fought and died for our Country because of him. At the same time I understand our Govt felt they had to do it that way by their law to defuse any uprising in our county,, like a double edged sword sorta kinda,,
I agree also with Cheesy,, I HOPE he felt full Terror in every bone in his body just seconds before his death.

We got to watch the video of Saddam Hussein being executed...I want to see Bin Laden die, too. Sorry if I sound cruel, but I think we would get more satisfaction after all the Americans he has killed if we get to see him die. I have no sympathy for him and no regard for his religion...he didn't respect our religions...or anything else.
I'm still saying "head on a stick" with people running across America with it like the Olympic Torch.

I just heard something that said a burial at sea now makes it impossible for there to be a place for his followers to come and make a martyr out of OBL.....that seems to make sense to me...

I, too, am amongst the disbelievers that he is actually the one who was shot. They said they used his sisters DNA to match his - well anyone in their family could match!!!

Well they keep changing the story @ first Bin Ladin was shooting , then he used a wife for a shield then she just stepped in front of him. @ first there was a fire fight now they are saying bin Ladin had a weapon in reach 4 of the dead did not have a weapon. To star the president and others as well as Hillary watch it on live feed from helmet cameras news today said now they are changing that. Did it happen is he dead or in some secluded place was it even him ? May have killed a cousin or son. All looking more fishy all the time.
