'morning all! We are to be in the mid-80's today - 10 degrees above normal. Sunday is going to be near 90 - a nice day for going to a holiday BBQ, and thankfully these friends have lots of shade in their backyard!

What's everyone doing for this holiday weekend?

We aren't doing anything special this weekend. The weather is supposed to be cool and cloudy with a chance of rain. In the last two months we have had only a couple of days that have been above normal for this time of year. We have consistently been below normal temps and I'm getting quite sick of 50 degree weather.

I went to bed with a tickle in my chest, hoping it was just allergies. It's still there, along with a cough. Blah.

We have also been below our norms and damper. But I am trying hard not to complain about it. I know a brutal summer will follow and I will miss the cool.
I am still trying to clean house. I may be up to spring cleaning 2008?

Just came inside from working on the front foundation bushes. We've dug up the more than 30 year old bushes, saved the 3 best ones, and I will plant 5 new junipers after I finally have breakfast at 2:30pm here! The sun is intense, and much water drinking is necessary today.

He has really had a great year this year and I know he will miss some of his friends. He won't be going to the same high school as they next year. With his personality he will have great new Friends at his High school next year! I'm really proud of him, He has excelled in both Advanced Placement Math and Science classes. He only missed 1 in math and 2 in science on his Taks tests clap . He was awarded and recognized in both subjects as well! teach clap I'm sooooooo proud of him :ding:

Sounds VERY busy, Carol! Have a great time, but remember to pace yourself!

Diane - tell Tre I said Mazel Tov!!! (congrats in Hebrew) He is turning into a fine young man, all with your guidance and love. I have every faith that he will be quite successful in life.

It is so hot and sticky here, and we've put in 2 very long days of gardening already, so I'm not sure if I will even go outside today aside from feeding my fish. I got a pretty good sunburn on my back from wearing a tank top 2 days ago, and am just feeling worn.

Things are looking good here though, and the birds are chirping very happily right now, so it's all worth it.

Hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day Saturday.

Wow, Diane, I'm tired just reading all of that. Hey everyone. I've been sick all weekend. My first full blown cold in about three years, ugh. I skipped my race yesterday and I feel better except I'm starting to cough more. Hope it clears up quickly.

Feel better, Cindy. Throwing up is the worst.

I finally updated my blog and wrote about my first half marathon, with pics, if anyone is interested. I gotta go switch out the laundry and then I think I'll read for a bit.

Good early morning! Haven't slept all night - too hot and sticky, and we haven't turned on the AC yet. Been catching up on the forums since I was out all day and night yesterday.

We just had a thunderstorm, with heavy rain, so hopefully things will be a bit more bearable today as far as heat and humidity. Plus, things needed to be watered outside - we've planted many bushes and cleaned up a lot the past 3 days, and added the free mulch to the front gardens and foundation plantings. PHEW, that was a lot of hard work!

Cheryl - congrats on your 1/2 marathon, and thanks for sharing your blog with pictures!

Diane - can't wait to see pictures of your new gardens there! Are you going to set up a new Willy Village for the boys? They aren't the only ones who would be looking forward to it, I'm sure!

Carol - how has your weekend gone so far? So many people with lots of plans this weekend!

Cindy - I hope you are feeling much better today.

Good morning everyone--
Lynne---thanks for thinking of me---it has & still will be a busy weekend--Younges DD & her DH are sleeping in the spare bedroom as we speak--he has Military services to participate in until at least 1:30 today---WE will see the first 2.
I think it i wil be hot here to today --SIL says it is predicted to be 93 today-- zoink You did a lot of hard work as well---I bet your yards are really looking nice !! Pictures ??

Diane--yes pictures please---and I agree with Lynne---I know the boys would enjoy the Willy Villiage, and the "antics" of the inhabitants----because many of us here love them (&miss them)

Cheryl---a half marathon, good for you !!--I missed soemthing---I thought you were a bit under the weather & were sitting this one out----

Well going now--I'll be back as I can wavy

Good Morning Lynne and Carol wavy
I have an area that could be used for a Willy Village, GrandPooBah is already there along with Clove His sister. One Hand likes being inside, the two dogs next door scare him because they are digging under the fence and keep getting in our yard,, We'll see about fixing the fence,, then Maybe just maybe we'll see about having a small community of gnomes starting up again, it could never be the Village it was as many of the gnomes wanted to stay at the Village. It was their home and didn't want to move. Don't Worry I have Plenty to start a new one thumbup
I took pictures I'll have to get them into Photobucket But PB has been hard to get into these days.
I Hope Cindy and Cheryl feel Better too kissie
