Does anyone have experience growing orchids?
Two of these phalaenopsis have recently come my way and although I have some tips for watering and caring, I would really like to configure their growth differently.
They came from a funerary display, hence the three arched wire supports. This makes them rather troublesome to place in our apartment. Can they be trained upwards, like ivies? Also can I assume that the blooms from lower down the stems that have dropped off during the 49 days of Buddhist funeral tradition will flower again? If so, would cutting the stems back be a good idea while the plants are being trained?
As you can tell, I know nothing at all about these things.
Thanks

flower stems on certain Phalaenopsis hybrids can be forced to rebloom by cutting the tip off after the initial flowering.

Thank you. I found some really concise information about this which has also answered all my other questions. It's a piece of cake really, isn't it... I can't imagine why I was so daunted.
