Hi everybody!!

We moved here on June 16th (I think) and just got our phone & internet this afternoon. What a relief! It felt strange living without phone, internet or tv. lol What products of our times we are.

We love our new city and our immediate neighborhood. Maxi has been going swimming every afternoon & on Monday's will join the guys in the park to play ultimate frisbee. Today he explored the library & enjoyed that.

Our POD arrives on Tuesday & we will be delighted to get our belongings back, which we haven't seen since February!

Hope everyone here is doing well & I can't wait to get caught up with y'all.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Oh My Merme,
I sure am glad when you got moved and got reconnected to the big world outside... and to us again... sounds like Maxi is enjoying his new 'hood too... we have been keeping busy here too, doing "school" with the boys and have our pool set up for them too- not using it today.. its going to storm soon.. really black outside and windy,
so I have 2 playing in the basement with the Thomas the train stuff- I thought we had outgrown it but they found it and are having fun, older one is watching an old movie about Abraham Lincoln with Henry Fonda playing the role, we had a discussion about fictionized accounts in movies,,,LOL... !
Joe is working 2 double shifts this weekend, he is going to be one tired duck... but will make for a good paycheck... help for a couple extras on our mini vaca in a couple weeks... really looking fwd to it...
Our in laws in Az are safe now from the fire- they have major cleanup to do in their house , putting stuff away they had packed up and taken to a safer location- now the are helping another family that got burned out get ready to rebuild when insurance pays up.. Bil built their house and has lots of experience in construction .. he even learned how to roof with metal to do his house and has talked to a lot of people who are rebuilding about doing theirs when they rebuild...
Well off to get my last load of laundry out and folded... need to think of something for dinner,,, maybe fish,,, I can get Joe to cook it...LOL!

Hi everyone!

Our POD arrived yesterday morning. Maxi and a neighbor were able to unload 3/4's of it last night. They left the heavier items for tonight when the neighbor's 19 year old will be here also. He is a big, strong kid and will be a big help for the last of it. They also plan on hooking up the washer and dryer. I am so relieved about that! I've had enough hand washing to lasr me for a while.

I'm looking forward to getting our planter boxes up and running. Maxi plans to do some leaf lettuce in one. It is always so pretty, I think it looks nice wherever he puts it.

I'm going to start handing Maxi the camera when he goes for his walks. Then I'll be able to show you guys a little about where we are.

Off to dialysis. See y'all soon.

Morning All,
Hi Merme , so glad you have gotten your stuff out of storage and have help getting it set up... always good to have nice neighbors too...!
We are in the planning stages of setting up run/walk to benefit my dd's sis in law.. she has started treatment and so far so good- but is just beginning of 9 months of it- Carrie is going to get the store director to donate the food and stuff for a bbq for the attendess after.. all of the kids in the family have worked for them at one time or another and Carrie has had for 15 yrs...it will be held in Fountain.. around a small lake at a park there... sometime in Aug..
Well I am supposed to be makeing a grocery list .. heading to Sams sometime today... out of some stuff altogether... need fruit and produce too- boys are growing again - they don't seem to ever fill up... Have a good day all....
