Good morning. I have been out in the cool of the morning, fixing sprinklers. I will not be out later in the heat except to change which sets of sprinklers are on.
I will say I am very glad that my water is not metered and that I do not have to pay for electricity to pump from my well. I keep some water going 24/7 around here. I could not afford to pay for either city water or the power bill if I didn't have my gravity fed well. I will sacrifice some water pressure for the blessings I have.

Pamela, you're not at all intruding. Jump on in and chat with us anytime. It's nice here today, about 70 with a bit of a breeze. Went for a difficult but beautiful trail run today. I'll post a link to pics when I'm back on my computer. Happy 4th everyone!

Yes, Pamela. This is where most of us share our days whether it concerns gardening or not. And all are welcome. When a coffee house gets to a hundred posts we start a new one. We have been through a couple thousand of them so we can be mighty gabby.
I am just having an uncomfortably warm day today. So I am taking it easy.

Dinner was delish! Now I'm just relaxing, watching X-Files for now but we'll probably watch Bones next. Here's the link to the pics I took today of the trails at Carkeek Park. I think this is where I'm going to do more of my trail training. It was tough and just what I needed.

Interesting Run, Cheryl---good luck with that---

Well everyone--I am jsut dropping in to say Happy 4th of July(again) & good night to all of you.

All I did in the way of celebrating today was to stand outside on the deck & watch the fireworks that a town like 15-25 miles away was putting on over their "lake"--but hey---it was better than not seeing any fireworks at all I figure-- why

I saw and heard no fireworks here. Well except we had thunder and lightning tonight. And winds but no rain. Rain would be nice. I am afraid of wild fires in general.
Good night all. Ted's last short week of summer school is tomorrow.

Only up to 86 today applaud shewinks Right now it is 63. THIS is MY idea of summer for sure !!!!

Topday os a busy day.

First & formost I get to go to ceramics--no rehab today, as the lady is on vacation !!.
Then I have to take my MIL to get a blood test done & then to the pharmacy to get some madication refilled so I can finish filling her med box for the week.

THEN...I get to come home, get cleaned up & go and meet my Valarie at the Dress shop where we bought our dresses for the wedding so the lady who will alter them will met us.--

I hurt my toe, so I hope I can get my shoes on for the fitting today.

One day soon I hope to not be so busy so that I can come & talk to you guys like I used to instead of leaving these monologs. rolz

Have a good day everyone!!! thumbup

We have had a few long, hot, and, for us, humid days. I'm bushed early in this kind of weather. And up before the sun. Sunrise is the only time I can get much done outdoors. And water, water, water.
Good night all.

Good morning! Pamela, sounds like you'd like to move out here to the pacific northwest. We don't usually get much above 80 except for a week or so randomly throughout the summer. Today is supposed to be high 70's to low 80's. I think low to mid 80's is perfect, especially since we usually have some sort of breeze. I only have on more day of work, thanks to holiday I only have a three day work week this week. I actually have no plans this weekend, which is good because next weekend is booked up. Stay cool everyone, see you later!

I scared myself today. I live in the desert. So we don't normally get much humidity. But we have some wet air out there right now, (monsoonal thing). I normally don't go out and about when it is this muggy but I took Ted to school and had to go pick him up. I also don't run my car a/c very much, normally, but today I enjoyed it. I stopped at a store and walking back to my van I saw water dripping from under it, in three different places. Eek!
I picked up my son and ran to my mechanic. He looked and said it was condensation from my a/c units. I had never seen it before so I figured something bad was wrong with my big baby van. I felt kinda dumb and very relieved! My mechanic said I was just being a good car-mom.

Hi,
Well Tina if you had ever lived in Az you would have known all about condensation from you car AC.. and my house AC there kept my roses watered too... which was nice...
We have had an eventfull day today- did our grocery shopping with the boys- and half way thru we got a call from Carrie- could we go home and help Joseph look for the dog.. she got out of yard and shortly after it started thunderstorming- she panics when it does that --- we drove around in 2 diff cars for an hour looking for her- even went to their old house cause she made it there once before... no dog ... so we went and did the other shopping and we were at her store when she got the call an Animal Hospital about a mile away had her.. she is chipped and they could read it... silly dog- she pulled the gate in toward her to get out- they have fixed the gate 3 times trying to keep her in.. she is very inventive in ways to get out... they may have to make a dog run for her to stay in outside.. she just wants to wander...so when we got home Joe picked up Joseph and they went and got her...Timothy was relieved he was afraid she would get hit by a car...
We are having our monsoon season too...t- storms almost every afternoon... nice not to be close to 100* every day... just started raining again now... goody won't have to water for a another day or so...
Well off to cut up my melons for breakfast tomorrow... honeydew and cantelope.... mmmmmmmm!
Nana

Good Evening Everyone! Chermoni, I did live in Eugene Or thru most of the 90,s before I came back home. I love the Pacific Northwest!!! I haven't been to Washington, but I would gladly go back to all that rain if it means I get to live in such a beautiful place. After going back and reading Willy's Misadventures, I would move to Cedar Hill in a second if Bill would have me. I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind. LOL. I figure I could move into the hummingbird house and stay for life. Huhhhh if only..... shewinks

Tina, thats better than saying "oh it's nothing" and then wonder what could possibly be wrong when your car dies in the middle of the road. I would have taken it in too. Luckily I don't have too since my husband knows just about everything about cars.

Hope everyone's having a good evening!

Yes, Pamela. My husband was pretty good with diagnosing car problems. But he is no longer here to do that with me. I am pretty much laughing at myself over this. Panicking over condensation is silly but I live in the desert. Most of the time I have a hard time raising a sheen on a glass of ice water. I am not a fan of humidity.

I bet that was fantastic. If only.... BTW, I wonder why he doesn't do the misadventures anymore? Not only is it great fun, but he's got the gift for writing. It's funny, sentimental, and just transports you there. I was bummed that I didn't find this site back then especially because it seems alot of the pictures have been taken down I guess..... There are just blank boxes with a red x in the corner where the pictures should be. But I was extremely inspired by what I did get to see like the bus stop and hummingbird house.

Whoever said gardening relieves stress wasn't talking about the first year of a new garden :)
