Hi,

I have an indoor philodendrum. Have been checking for dryness and watered. Now it has small white mushroom. Any recommendations. Should I move it outside or just allow it to dry out?

Thanks.

Welcome, Marta.
Most of the time the mushrooms will not harm your plant. You can pull them up as they pop up if you would like. Adding some chunky fill to the top of the soil may help too. People use all sorts of things from dried moss to marbles. Small river rocks work or just bark.

errr...I've been avoiding internet stuff, first post here for awhile, don't ask...mushrooms occur only if medium is appropriate, in the case of houseplants, bark or wood products inadequately composted, and yes of little consequence unless consumed by pets or children. Pick them and throw them out if innocents might consume them, but expect them to return. adjusting pH could help, but I don't know the number(s)
