I'm sorry to hear this about Rachel, Cindy. All prayers always.

Tonight we actually ate dinner in the kitchen, sitting in chairs at the table! YAY! It was a relief not to sit on the living room floor!! I did misplace the box w/ all the candles although I did see it last week, so we didn't have candles on the table, but we are getting there!

Sherri another MRI sounds sensible. Let us know.

Hi Cheryl!!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

My doctor said it was fairly common for people to have them and not know. Especially as you get older. Mine was found by accident by an ear nose and throat specialist. I have four total, one much bigger than the others that I can feel. The other three are small and grew this last year and I had to have more biopsies. It's a quick and easy procedure, been through it four times now. Once without any anesthetic even.

Thanks, Merme and Lynne and Cheryl... kissie kissie kissie
In my family everything that has been "tumor" or "cancer" has turned into a death sentence, so this kinda freaked me out....but Rachel said she had Googled it and gotten lots of info from her doctor before she told me (which is the same that Cheryl said...thank God)...so I do feel much better now.

I want to sleep tonight. Please send some mental messages to my brain to make me sleep.

I will send you half of my sleep if I can, Cindy. I am glad the news is encouraging about Rachel. I have had friends with thyroid issues and cancer and they all came out on the other side with little or no bad effects. Just synthetic thyroid medicine to keep them stable (normal) after.

Cindy perhaps you should do some self-hypnotic techniques to help you sleep. The way we sleep is, our thoughts slow, slow and slow even more and then we sleep. If we lay awake w/ our thoughts wild from one topic to the next, we will not sleep.

With SH techniques, you pick a place to think of, a peaceful place you love, even if it is imaginary. You visualize it in every detail and discipline your thoughts to not wander. If you find yourself thinking of something else, you go back to the beginning of your visualization and start again. Each night you do it, the time gets shorter before you fall asleep. I am so good at it now that all I have to do is picture the front door of my special place and I am asleep!

Good night everybody!

Good night, Bill. Hope you sleep too, Cindy. We're waiting until it's time to head to the airport to pick up the kids. I'll be up late tonight.

Good morning everybody! wavy *Merme whispers in case people are finally sleeping*

It is a beautiful morning and I'm delighted it is my last day of treatment for the week. It will be nice to finally be done until Monday.

Maxi has been having rough nights. He watched a few creepy movies and now thinks his new room is "haunted"! boohoo It isn't; he's just creeped out. So on Sunday he is going to chat w/ our friend the priest and have him come bless the room & hang Maxi's cross as he has done in every place we've lived. The kid will feel better then.

Gotta go get the coffee.....

Hi Everyone! wavy

Cindy, Just read about your daughter. I know when it comes to your kids, its easy to worry about the what if, even if the prognosis is good. I hope everything turns out well!

Been a busy week of getting things done around here. My family is going to YellowStone Park next Wed. until the following Monday. I've never been so I'm really looking forward to it.Both my dad, and my youngest brother and his family are driving up there from Utah and my other brother and his family live here and are driving up there too. So it's going to be a wonderful vacation with my whole family, as long as we can all get along, that is. I swear there is something about my brothers and I when we get around my dad, we turn into children again!

Anyway, so I'm trying to get all the weeding, raking and fun stuff done. I'm quite worried about my garden withas hot as its been, but I have a friend that will come over and water the plants that don't get hit by the sprinkler system and check on my cats.

Now its going to be a busy weekend of packing and shopping! Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Pamela~

Pamela, sounds like a good vacation. Good morning everyone. Busy today, went and got my oil change, which was free, and they vacuumed and washed my car for me. Traded the bicycle shorts my mom got me for a smaller size and now I'm waiting to see if they ever call me back for allergy shots. I still have to go grocery shopping but I'll probably go home and eat and take a nap first. I was up late due to the kids getting back into town late.
