Hello all,

I have just signed up in the hope that someone can shed light on a mystery, me and my partner recently holidayed in France, while in Normandy we saw a beautiful blue flower, of which, in hindsight I should have taken a photo of, but as memory recalls it was similar to a Campanella (I have been told this as I am sorry to admit that my fingers are not that green)and quite tall (maybe two and a half to three foot), but beneath each flower was a fabulous spiral, if anyone has any clues I would be very grateful.

Welcome gnome. Did the flower look a little like this one?

You cannot see the 'saucer' portion of the flower in that picture but it forms a plate type thing under the cup portion. You can read about them here.

Hi Tina,

Thanks for your response, the flower didn't really look like that but I'm getting a sense that it may be from the campanula family, would love to find it.

Thanks again.
