I have not read back...except something about cauliflower and cheese, which I love. Is the recipe posted here?

Spent most of the day with my dad. His nose was bleeding so bad they couldn't get it stopped for hours...he was soaking boxes of tissues with blood and when he tried to stop the bleeding by cramming tissue up his nose it came out his mouth. I am so disgusted with the treatment there. He was in pretty good shape when he went in after his house burned...now he is about dead.

Cindy--so sorry to hear about your dad--I hope he can somehow get the care ne needs----

about the cauliflower and cheese--it is a recipe for pizza crust--if ya want it I can copy & past it to ya. Cheryl sent it to me to try---

It has been a long day here---we took my MIL to the hosptial in springfield, IL yesterday--about a 60 mile trip one way, but in 1 day she saw a general practitioner & 2 specialists, so we are very pleased-- We of course went back today---she is doing ok now but they will keep her to adjust her meds & check on her--

for which we are very greatful

Yeah, I'd like the recipe. I love anything with cauliflower.

They can never schedule anything on the same day for me in Lexington...I have literally had to drive up there 4 times in one week to different doctors before...what a wear out and with gas so expensive. I do have a whole days worth of different tests...MRI, ultra sound, lung function and several others all scheduled for one whole day soon....and the great part is that it is at the hospital here in London.

You guys make me glad I live near enough to a big town and very good hospitals to not have to go too far. Even our county hospital has top ratings for care and what is available.
I hope all of your different tests help you with diagnosing and some cures, Cindy.
I hope your MIL comes out better than when she went in, Carol. You are a very good DIL. I hope she appreciates you and your husband does too.

You're very welcome, Carol. I hope it works out for you. I had to double the recipe to make a full pizza, fyi. Okay, no more complaining when I have to drive 25 minutes across town to see my specialists.

25 minutesd huh?? that would be great--most of mine are an hour away--about 45 miles away--one is further--but the hospital in Springfield takes way longer--at least 1-1/2 hours----but the road is good and straight for the most part--

My primary care DR is only 20 minutes away but hey---that is just for maintance & such as viruses & etc.---

Thanks Tina for your kind words as well..and I do not think my DH thinks so but hey--my MIL is appreciative. That is great about your drs being so close & so good.

Cindy--I am so sorry for you, and I too hope that your Drs can figure out something they can do for you--about drs--I tried to get my Drs in St. Louis to schedule 2 in the same day once & they actually did but it was a chore----it seems they all have different days that they see patients--sheese---
The reason my MIL saw 3 Drs in 1 day was she is in the hospital & before they can treat her they all have to see her & decide what is best----but still--to see them all in 1 day AND on a Sunday too!!! I was impressed for sure...

well everyone I think I am going to try to go to bed now--nite nite wavy

I would have no clue what day it was if my youngest son (17) wasn't in school and my oldest son (36) didn't have an appointment today. I mostly use the calendar in the sidebar here to figure out what day/date it is. It helps me keep track of when my bills are due.

OK so MIL is happy she is coming home tomorrow & upset that I will not try to arrange for someone to come and get her the moment she is discharged--- and for anyone who has had to wait for hospital personnelle to get all the discharge papers in order, well I figure if her DR sees her at 11am & does discharge her, like he thinks he will, that she would be lucky to get out of the hospital by say 3pm---now we can be up there about 6 pm or so, so I see no reason why we I should call around to see if someone is free to pick her up 3 hours earlier---and besides, this is Rodney's mother so I figured he could be responsible for picking her up---
and it is 62.6 miles one way not 60 (& I thought I was rounding it up from 56......)

That is my story & I am sticking to it !!!!!

Stick to your guns, Carol! Glad she's being released anyway. I've had a pretty good day. Work, the usual, but the temps are way down and I'm loving it. They are supposed to go back up again after tomorrow I believe but I'll enjoy it while I can.

I am also glad she is well enough to go home tomorrow, Carol. I hope the discharging goes smoothly for her. It can be a real bear, I know.
Today we had a fire a couple miles up the freeway from me. With the winds blowing it away from my house. But it was cool watching all of the aircraft flying over from the lake one mile to my southeast to the fire to my northeast. I couldn't nap with all of that low flying heavy equipment overhead.
Tonight all of the local dogs are going crazy with the extra wildlife going by to escape. But the fire seems to be contained for now.
I had a birthday party to attend tonight for as long as Teddy would allow me to stay. It was fun and I was ready to come home with him within an hour or so. Short and sweet. We spent a lot of the time fire-watching together.
I am very tired tonight. So I will say good night early.

wavy

This is the 98th post in this CH so I opened a new one for us to be all ready when you are.

It is 59 degrees here tonight and it feels wonderful since the humidity has left and there was a great breeze blowing all the day long.

I have a busy day planned for tomorrow and I can't believe I'm still up tonight but that is the way it goes sometimes.

Hope everyone is doing well.... I'm off to read back on what I've missed.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.
