Good Morning all,
It's a nice morning so far today- only 82* but supposed to be 93* we are finally cooling off ..just hope the cold waits a long time to show up now..

We are going to try and have a get together for Labor Day.. on Sun.. Joe is working but we can have kids here playing like crazy in back yard...

Please keep our Alli in your thoughts today- first day of heavy chemo for her... Carrie has her boys today- so she will be doing school runs for the two older ones.. and I may have to go over and be there for her boys if it's all at same time...

I got a good deal on a new crosscut shredder yesterday at our Target- have a reg one but wanted one that would cross cut for a while now... it's smaller and will do more at a time so I really like that... will keep other one too- makes good tissue filler for Christmas and birthday bags ....

Well off to start the vacumming and dusting .. may even mop the kitchen floor...

I got a cross cut shredder after John died. I had about 50 years of old bills and other papers to get rid of. I tossed the shreds in the worm bin. Enjoy it, Nana. Prayers for Alli.
I got more things done outdoors today but I modified my plans a bit. I am going to make a couple of stops on the way to pick my youngest up from school.

Thanks--my feeling good comes & goes---when I am in large places like say the hospital (spent 2 hours there today) or wal-mart----(spent 1 hour there)---I felt pretty good--they must h ave industrial sized A/C units----but here at home or in the car, my nose runs like a sive and so my throat is sore & I feel like crap ---hopefully the 2 tylenol I just took will help me some.

We are goiog to church tonight, B/C DH wants to do some clean-up out at dad's property this weekend & so we will not be going to church on Sunday---

Hi everyone. Nana, thinking of Alli. Carol, hope the tylenol helps. Merme, good to see you! I'm super tired today. I had trouble falling asleep last night but got up okay this morning. I've been wanting to go back to bed all day. Maybe the swim last night wore me out. Tomorrow is my Friday, yay!

Cheryl--so sorry that yoy are so tired out---I so hope it was not the swimming, but I guess it may have been, huh???

FYI: The tylenol worked but only for awhile---and since I took 2 extra strength, I am guesssing I should NOT take any more until the morning--- I guess I will not be going to rehab nore to my sister's in the mornng either---

I'm on a deadline...have to go to the hospital and check on my dad. Rachel is home now and sleeping.

I just found out a few minutes ago today was Thursday...I thought it was Friday...now I am all screwed up again......

1) my computer says so....
2) I was supposed to go to Cardiac Rehab this morning (& I go on Tuesday & Thursday--& I already went once this week)
3) Yesterday I took my MIL to a dr that is only in the place we see him at on the last wednesday of the month. so if yesterday was wednesday, then today is Thursday.

yep it is Thursday.....

I have really come to rely on the calendar on the right of this page.

Well it was 104*F here today & is 82 right now (10:55pm)

it is supposed to rain later on saturday evening & then be cooler on sunday & monday---they predict 76 to be the high for Monday--that would be just great.

my temp is down to 100 & down any amount at night is a good thing--here's hoping that I do not have to go to teh Dr tomorrow---

That is hot, Carol. Our temps are creeping back up. But we have had an incredibly mild summer for the California desert. So I am trying not to whine too much about the few hot days. And cool nights are awesome to sleep in.

Brennan was so sick with a cold + allergies....Rach took him to the doctor Monday and they gave him a shot and it made a world of difference. You need to go to the doctor. They will give you a Spiderman bandaid over the shot area....and a sticker.

66 here today and I had to shut the a/c off. Beautiful out there.

Maxi is coming home tonight and bringing his little brother for the weekend. It will be good to have the boys here.

Ran off to Rite Aid first thing. I needed new curlers and saw them at Rite Aid yesterday. I have sent my weekend girl three times to Wal-Mart over three weekends and she keeps getting the wrong ones. So I asked my Friday girl to take me to RA so I could get them myself. While I was there I saw a bunch of other things I need... $54 of other needs! But now I am very happy!

Merme....I guess if you want something done right you have to do it yourself...which kind of defeats the purpose of having someone there to do those things for you.

Gonna be a hot one today...supposed to be the hottest day so far this summer. When I was up at 3am I looked at the weather channel and it was 80 degrees still...

Cindy you are right about defeated purposes! The other defeat is when they send me someone new every single day so I am training 7 new girls right in a row. Exhausting!

So Maxi and his little brother walked down to Doughboys Deli to buy their dinner. I sent my evening girl to the grocery (she does a good job) and to a different deli to buy my dinner. I really want a Rueben sandwich and Doughboys doesn't make them.

Then I have to search for my skirt I plan to wear on Sunday. I thought one of the girls who was here this week hung it up for me when she was hanging the other clothes but we can't find it in the closet. So I'm guessing it may still be in the box. It is a pretty pencil skirt in black w/ tiny white flowers on it and then a 3 inch deep band of white flowers around the hem. I am going to wear it w/ my pearl pink twin set. I'd hate to have to think up a whole new outfit this late in the week, so search for that skirt I will!


Anyone have great weekend plans?

I hope you got your reuben dinner Merme, I dont think I could eat a rueben any more-- so I hope you enjoyed it for me as well.

This weekend we have a few small plans:

Saturday evening, we will go to my MIL's Assisted Living Place as they are having a Labor Day picnic there---from 5 to 7 I think it is.

They will provide burgers, hotdogs & trimmings---and some type of music.

Then on Monday we will be out at my dad's property (where Rod is going to work at all weekend) and will BBQ for whatever kids show up for a late lunch/early supper.

Good morning. I only have a few things to do today. So I will go with the family flow for the most part. There are a couple of different BBQ's that I could attend. That will depend on how Teddy feels about it.

Today a new girl started. She is Congolese but has beautiful English and knows how to do everything which needs done. I am relieved. We went off to Target and had some fun there and when we got back she threw in a load of laundry, did up a few dishes and cooked bacon and breakfast links for the boys. Easy!

I bought a new purse today as my other one was too small and driving me crazy! This is larger and will be easier to fit all my gear inside but isn't so big I'll lose myself in it.

I spent some time this morning on YouTube watching old Danny Kaye clips. Funny, funny man.

It is a real fall morning here- high in low 80's.. I am hoping for a long fall this yr... so pretty and after the hottest Aug in a hundred yrs here we deserve it...LOL!

My son just called me and said they want me to go to zoo with them.. haven't been there in yrs... so I will have an adventure today... should be fun watching the boys see the animals...

I have been watching a moviw with Will Smith called 7 lbs.. it's pretty good... sad so far though... good movie for a Sat morning ...

I am glad you have a girl that knows how to do the stuff you need doing Merme.. hope you get to keep her.. sounds like the boys are having a good time too... always good.
