ea Tina, I figured that you were around here someplace.

I was a bad girl earlier----
I made my DH a bowl of popcorn--made the "old fashioned way" on the stove poped on oil---and I put butter & salt on it for him---AMD THEN I had a small bowl of it myself---about 3 cups worth--- bow
---this is the first time I have had 'real' popcorn since before October 19 of 2010 notme
I'm here to tell ya, that hot-air stuff w/o butter or salt is for the birds-----

I think I am going to go to bed now---nighty night everyone--sleep well.... snooz

Sweet dreams, Carol. Fluffy, buttered popcorn dreams. Didn't they tell you that you can cheat once in a while?

Good morning. A new month means new bills to pay. So I will be out doing something towards that end. Not sure about other plans for this day yet.

I got my banking portion of my day done. We could have some t-storms from the remnants of hurricane Hillary. But it is not looking like it so far. A perfectly lovely day.
I have to go to town again to drop off my older son. So a bunch of driving for me today. I am feeling like I wasted some really good working weather. But with my son here helping so much I'm really ahead.

Good evening everyone. Cindy, I'm thinking of going into nutrition. I was looking at a biotech program but DH thought that I would do well with something dietary related and it's only two more years than the biotech program. He's right and I've looked up everything I need to know to become a nutritionist. I looked into dietician but that's not for me. I'd do much better being a nutritionist. I already read up about food and try to eat right and teach the kids the same. Like I said, it will take time but time I have. Tina, I'm going to try to get as many of my prerequisite classes done online as I can. I can't do science classes online because of the labs but most of the other classes I need to take are available online, which means I may be able to pull off two classes a quarter rather than one. I will also take classes during summer quarter. My first task is to be able to test into college level math. I'm confident with the two books I have that I'll be able to teach myself algebra. I have a really good teaching book and a work book to practice problems.

Yesterday I ran 9 miles in my new running shoes. A few minor issues but I think these shoes will work really well for me. I received a very unexpected gift from some of my running friends and treated myself to a new pair of casual shoes, some new underwear, a new running hoodie (that I can wear anytime, really) that will be great during windy and rainy runs. I also treated myself to some ice cream yesterday and a six pack today. I got some laundry started yesterday after my run and shopping and then vegged the rest of the day watching Grey's Anatomy. Today I slept in really late and then DH and I went out to breakfast. Just as we were finished eating the girls were finished working (they work at the restaurant we went to) and I drove them to their friends houses. I did all the grocery shopping, cooked dinner, then decided I wanted to decorate for Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I dug out my box and was very disappointed with my lack of decorations. I asked DH if I could borrow some money until my next paycheck to buy some decorations and he agreed and is even paying half. Ashley went with me and we had fun picking out new things to put in the windows and around the house. We found some cute gel things to stick to the windows. I even put a couple in my car windows for fun. We found a light up giant skull that we hung in the kitchen window. We found a cute spider web and some glow in the dark window clings. We also got a skeleton garland and some skeletons and tombstones to put outside. This is my first year having decorations outside and I love it. Tomorrow it's back to work.

Decorating is fun. It makes the holidays special. You were very busy today, Cheryl. I hope your work week goes well. And I think nutritionist is a good plan.
Good night all. I'm tired.

A pretty good day so far. Except for machinery that won't work is frustrating. My gas backpack blower will not run, having something wrong with the fuel delivery. I am trying to move the leaves and litter before they get wet next week. I am very glad I have a couple of electric ones as backup. And that is what I am going to move onto next.

I am very tired and sluggish today. I don't like being a girl sometimes. Oh well, nothing I can do except to suck it up buttercup. I will be going for a run after work and that should help make me feel a little better. I'm cooking a really quick and easy dinner tonight too. Taco night tonight. The new season of Dexter starts tonight but we probably won't be able to see it until tomorrow since we don't have Showtime.

Lots of work got done today. I am thrilled with my outdoors. And happier with my indoors than I have been for awhile. I am about ready for a rainy week ahead.
My son is in the bath and I will take my turn in a bit. A good day in a good weekend.

The only reason I have an idea what day it is, is because my youngest son is still in school. I know it is Oct 2nd because I was broke and waiting for my check to get here on the first. Of course it is almost gone now. But I am very grateful I can pay my bills.
My day tired me out. I may just head to bed soon. Very early.

Good Morning everyone----I would really like to be sleeping yet--but nope--I am up & drinking coffee instead--- why

Cindy--so sorry for the ankle---but hey--it could be worse, you could be in a full Body cast or some such---Could Rachel & "the boys" come up & help you get your "winterizing" done??? you could order in the food--and as an added plus you would get to visit with them.. shewinks (*Carol here always thinking of the angle*

Good morning. I am ready to take my son to school. And I need to stop and shop some on the way home. I am not sure what the rest of the day will bring me. Tomorrow the rain will begin. I have a couple of tools to put away from the weather. And some phone calls to make.

Went to Lex to the dr today, and have to go back to the surgeon tomorrow. It's such a long day up there and back...2 hours each way. If it hadn't been for "From Los Angeles, California.....Jim Morrison and the Doors!" I would have fallen asleep on the way home. "Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel...yeah, keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel. We're goin' to the Roadhouse we're gonna have a real.....good time..."

"Let's roll, baby roll......."

Nighty night.....

Bless you, Tina--you have no idea how happy that makes me--
Today I am beginning to make my youngest 2 cat food bowls---Her Dog broke the one I had bought her years ago (She loved it) & since we could not find a new one to replace it, I will make what is hopefully a good copy.---And I plan to make 2 incase the breaking of one happens again----

This should keep me busy for several weeks... grin bow

see everyone later---have a good day Tina....

well it has been a full day---I am going to read a bit & then go to bed---

Tomorrow my cousin is coming over & we are going to spend the day together----and we will take in a show as well---that should be fun (she asked me if I ate lunch out could I still have popcorn & soda??) well no, I probably should not ever have the popcorn, BUT I will buy the smallest box they sell & I will have some popcorn---

sweet dreams everyone.

PS teach It is the fat & sodium in the movie popcorn that is a bad idea for me,--not the popcorn itself. teach

Good morning. Yesterday I baked a mess of cupcakes. I am taking them to my son's school with commercial frosting along with plastic knives to let the kids ice their own. Just a fun little project.
I get to drive in the rain today. I hope everyone else out there is smart and careful. It is sadly not always so with California drivers.

Mmmm day of freedom, I could use one of those. Though I think I would spend it cleaning and getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner, we're having it at my place on sunday.

Good morning....I'm glad I don't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner right now. I have a few old friends from boarding school coming over tonight and it's gonna be pizza and beer.
...think I will get in the chair for awhile and get off this ankle. It seems to hurt worse everyday...guess cuz I never have stayed off it like I was supposed to, and don't use the crutches most of the time. Lola is askeered of them.....

So glad to hear that you have friends coming over, Cindy--- thumbup
I think your healing properly is more imoprtant that Lola being scared----if you are not well who will take care of her--it is in her best interest for you to do what you need to heal well--Could you find some other device that will help you with walking that she is not so afraid of???---

Shani--good luck with that dinner---If it were me, I would have my DH call his family & see if they planned on coming--that is quite a differebce in food that would be required after all...

If there are children unable to manage their own cupcake icing, there will be someone to help them. This is a special ed class of older teens with different abilities. Some will need help.
I stopped to shop and have short ribs baking in my oven (keeping my house warm). Tonight will be ribs, beans, cornbread and some home grown tomatoes from a neighbor. I will add something green, just not sure what yet. I can hardly wait. I have not been very hungry during the heat of summer.

Carol - He called them all last night but they just don't seem to make up there minds about it. I would be quite content if they all said no.

Hope you get an answer either way soon, Shani. Hello Tina, Carol, and Cindy! Not much going on here. Pretty much the same old stuff. I have an idea for this year's NaNoWriMo, it needs more developing but I have the rest of the month to think about. Hopefully I'll finish a novel this year. I'm also doing very well so far teaching myself algebra.

I hate math..... lol
Id rather learn new cussing skills..... blush

But, trying to learn algebra would probably take care of the "learning new cussing skills"... kinda the "killing 2 birds with one stone" thing.....

Good evening! I pigged out on cauliflower for dinner, but I'm already hungry again. Darn vegetables. Tomorrow is my Friday, always happy for that.
